Wonderful game worth playing. DO NOT get lost in side questing. The main story offers so much more thats worth powering through it.

A Quality Role Playing Game
I finished the game and here are my thoughts below. Some spoilers for this game are mentioned in this review. What I enjoyed: 1. Story - The presentation of the characters such as Geralt of Rivia (the protagonist controlled by the player), Yennefer, Triss, Ciri, and Emhyr var Emreis (the Nilfgaardian Emperor) is executed well (hard for me to explain). I liked that many of the side quests were relevant to understanding the story in Velen, Novigrad, Skellige. Which I loved how the most important choice of the game is to help determine the fate of Ciri. Her fate could be assumed missing, becoming a witcher, or becoming Nilfgaard's new empress (the empress fate is my favorite ending). 2. Graphics - They are beautiful and immerses the gamer into the game. 3. Gameplay - A massive improvement over The Witcher 1 and 2. It is hard for me to describe it, but playing it feels more graceful and fluid. 4. Music - The quality and purpose of the music did immerse me into the game. It speaks for itself. What I didn't like: 1. Why wasn't Cynthia, the Nilfgaardian sorceress and spy in The Witcher 2, not present in the game except on a Gwent card? She is my favorite character in The Witcher video game trilogy.

In the conversation for Best ever.
Best this, best that. Best game ever? It might be, but those conversations are subjective and opinion based. So, I will say that Witcher 3 at least gets a seat at the table for the discussion. Gameplay/Combat: 8/10 Story: 10/10 World Building/Immersion: 10/10 Graphics: 9/10 Value/Content: 10/10 Voice Acting: 10/10 Music: 10/10 CDPR went over and above with this game. It is an incredible accomplishment.

This is a great game
I never played the Witcher when I should have. The first one I played quite a few years after it was launched and loved it especially for the Aurora engine that reminded me when I played Neverwinter Nights. The second one I got on a Steam sale and played through it, I liked it, especially the story and the fact that you seemed to be a part and influence the world. The Witcher 3 GOTY edition: I bought it from a colleague for the PS4, for a whole month everyday after work and in the weekend I played it and I was mesmerized. This game is amazing, I could describe the story, the visuals, the gameplay but the truth is this has to be played to understand the greatness. I'm sure that Sapkowski wrote a great series of books but it is the merger of his characters with the visuals and gameplay that made this series so good. Long story short: Sold my PS4 saw the Netflix show and bought the game again for PC as it reminded me how f****** good this game was.
