The Excavation of Hob's Barrow
Opis
Antiquarian Thomasina Bateman is writing a book on the barrows of England, documenting the treasures she finds buried within. When an intriguing letter summons her to the small village of Bewlay, tucked away in the remote countryside, she sets off by train with her assistant a day behind.
Upon her arrival, however, the mysterious man who summoned her is nowhere to be found. Her assistant never arrives. A stubborn landowner refuses access to the barrow, and the locals are wary of this woman who is traveling alone and (gasp!) wears trousers.
The excavation of Hob’s Barrow is off to a rocky start. And then Thomasina starts having strange dreams…

Fantastic, despite minor flaws
The puzzles were rather easy, I didn't spend much time on any of them. And as for the graphics, as lovely crafted they are, I have noticed that sometimes scaled down sprites clashed with large pixels of the background - on the east road screen it looked rather comically. I loved the story, atmosphere, and the music!

A great story
This game is a wonderful story that never outstays its welcome. It is simple to play, but you always enjoy when you figure out the puzzles. Amazing voicing and good music. The characters are fantastically written. A great recoomend for fans of The Wicker Man

Like the good old ones
If you like classic Point & Click, this is a no-brainer. Well made, none-too-hard puzzles (the fact that I finished it is a solid tell), and a decent storyline to boot. The graphics and acting really keep you in the world. Also, good technical work - no jank, no crashes to be seen. Hard recommend.
