Evil Within 2 Sebastians Boogaloo
A sequel that does depart a lot from the original games design, but I would say it is for the better, the amount of content on offer for this game on Akuma is around 20-25 hours if you wanna get all the good gear. Combat has been streamlined for the better, and a lot of the weapons are very well made. First person mode makes the second time going through this game a very enjoyable time.

Masterpiece
I'd strongly recommend watching a recap or two of the first game before playing this one to understand the story better and connect with the characters. Here are the YT vids I watched to get caught up: /watch?v=14VGMP5P5C4 - short version /watch?v=_RZsY2GyWfM - longer version I'd watch them both because they each add some details which the other misses. You could play the first game, but it's got pretty shitty scores, so I didn't give it a chance. This game, on the other hand, is a god damned masterpiece, in my opinion! I played this game on release (and now bought it here because I love it) and I still remember some really emotional music pieces from the soundtrack towards the end, coupled with really intense moments in the story. I dropped some tears in the final levels. The gameplay is excellent and tense, with amazing atmosphere and challenging combat if you play on hard, which I would strongly recommend for most horror games since it adds a lot to the atmosphere and sense of danger, not to mention " a sense of pride and accomplishment" (I'm looking at you, EA). Stealthy approach is highly recommended on hard difficulty for extra XP and ammo conservation. Nice talent trees, exploration greatly rewarded and recommended because it adds to the story, but the game is still beatable without it. There were a few optimization problems at launch, but not nearly as bad as other releases nowadays. I've played it on a GTX 1060 and it was fine. Not sure if they've improved it by now, I'd assume they did at least partially, but even if they weren't, this is still a 5-star game for me.

A great survival horror game
As much as I loved the first game. I doubted buying the second due to hearing a lot of hate on it. Personally, they were completely wrong. This game has great horror elements and story thus far. Only on Chapter 7 (trying to get all side missions done as I'm going along) and it is very entertaining. The atmosphere isn't as dark as the first game but more or less feels like a Silent Hill game which is a plus in my books. Anyone who is a fan of the first game, Silent Hill games or just overall horror. You must get this game. Overall, a great game and a must play to all horror game fans. Great work Tango Gameworks! P.S: I will edit my review once I fully complete the story. Also my first review on GOG.

Best survival Horror so far
Dont argue with the age og this game. The textures still pretty good, the Immersion is well made and in total you will get the perfect mix of surival, horror and psycho trip xD. Only thing i need to mention is, that so far (chapter 4 end i guess) there arent as good boss fights, as i saw in the first game. But remember, im only at chapter 4 rignt now
