In Solasta, you take control of four heroes, each with unique skills that complement one another. Every hero expresses themselves in the adventure, making each action and dialog choice a dynamic part to the story. Discover a Mysterious & Dynamic World.
Delve into long forgotten dungeons to unearth ancient artifacts, but stay watchful of light and darkness: many dangers hide in the dark, but a light can attract monsters. Some enemies have darkvision, some may flee from your torch... Successful adventurers will learn to use it to their advantage.
Fight monsters in squad-level, turn-based, tactical combat. Solasta's dynamic environment offers some interesting tactical options. Bridges can collapse, leaving enemies stranded and vulnerable. Walls and columns can be pushed over - on top of your foes, if you do it right. The world is your playground.
Prepare to Think in Three Dimensions.
The dungeons in Solasta are more than flat game-boards. Climb, jump, or fly around obstacles. Evade or surprise foes from above or below. Push them into chasms or drop things on their heads. Position yourself on high grounds to start the fight with an advantage.
Size also matters. Escape through narrow passages where bigger enemies won't fit and crawl through tunnels to find secret areas. Take advantage of the environment to find cover suited to your own size. Watch out, though - the monsters are also thinking vertically.
Must admit I am quite impressed by this game. Lovely graphics, great music and nice interface. Thoroughly enjoying the introduction of the 'vertical' aspect. The mechanics are spectacular and it's adherence to the D&D ruleset is remarkable.
With the introduction of the multiplayer, I can see this having a long shelf life. I'm about halfway through the main campaign and find it hard to put down. It is just plain fun. Battle is engaging and extremely tactical, which I love.

It plays like a typical DnD campaign with good humor, sometimes tough battles and its a really faithful well crafted DnD 5e game. Truly a labor of love and well worth your time. Have fun!
Played it with innerstrength for dragonkin and monk. Was mostly very happy with the whole main game (not a fan on end seq. tho). Nostalgy similar to Baldur's gate 1 main campaign.
OK, I am missing 3 gems (no spoilers), and i reached lv10 and I checked which skill are next level. Surprise this is the max lv of the game.
This game is great but this lv cap made me loose interest, I dont know exactly why this happened to me.
Is this because of the campaign? I will check again the character creator
As many have said, the voice acting is in desperate need of attention, and the character builds + plot is linear and limited, even with supporters pack and Primal Calling installed.
Still a fun play through, and thanks to Pathfinder: Kingmaker + other recent D&D based RPGs I've grown to appreciate and enjoy 5th edition rules ( VERY old school RPGer, havent played tabletop in years) that the game uses.
Add in the reasonably easy to use Dungeon Maker and the possiblilities for future variations in games and campaigns grows exponentially.
But dont despair if your favourite class isn't available, or you don't want to replay a dungeon you just designed, if you head over to *hexus* theres a heap of legal and nonboosting mods that will (for now) give you up to 10 race/lineage choices, 14 classes (with extra subclass paths) and many extra adventures to keep you playing.
A playworthy vanilla game at its pricepoint in its own right but could do with some more options, much more fun with a little help.
