A great concept, but...

I've been playing versions of what there this of this game since it first appeared many years ago. It's always had a lot of promise, despite being overhauled and tinkered with several times over the years. And as an adult game, it has something for pretty much everyone. But my main issue is that its development has been incredibly slow. There's a main storyline here that I'd guess is still probably less than a third of the way through. And there are plenty of side stories to delve into, depending on your preferences. But there are maybe two or three main updates a year, and much of these are taken up by scene rewrites, new/updated artwork, etc., instead of pushing the plot (or many of the side stories) forward. I'd recommend this game (with some reservations) if you haven't experienced it before - its worth a playthrough. Just don't expect a lot of progress any time soon. And if there's a particular storyline you're interested in, understand that most likely it'll only be updated once or twice a year.

5/5 if compared to other visual novels

At the time of writing I clocked ~19 hours of gameplay (sidenote: some people claim game is less than 10 hours of content, but that probably if you skip reading or something). My opinion, this is a killer game. While some stuff is clunky and inconsistent (interface in the more recent additions is usually more fleshed out) it's easy to forgive once you immerse yourself in the story. This is really a pain point to me. What if game's final release won't get us to conclusion of the story? That would be a great loss (not dissimilar to Mass Effect 3 fiasco). Because what we have right now offers a huge promise for the future like Fallout 2 or Fallout 3: New Vegas. You have enemies, you have friends, you have promise of vengence, and promise of salvation, fear and hope and world that may or may not change due to your action. Damn I really hope they will finish the game down the line. There are bad things like clunky interface, or some bugs here and there, writing in English sometimes itself is a bit awkward (not a native English speaker I am guessing here). None of it is a killer tho. Cannot recommend this title more. Game is deffo: NSFW.

A visual novel with a lil more.

Have purchased on Steam, probably gonna buy again. I dont play viusal novels too often, but this one was pretty good. Great art and multpile choices to have the two main characters swing which ever way your into. Along with turning them both into total perverted fiends or keeping them a kosher as possible. Itsa sexy depraved kinda time, is good.

Only for certain tastes.

Refunded after around 2 hours of play time. At the time of this review, the game was still in early access and it is - according to the store page - part of a coming trilogy. It remains to be seen if this trilogy will ever see the light of day, considering this title is in early access since 4 and a half years. At the beginning of the game the player is asked if NTR content should be included or not. I chose to have that content excluded, but the overall writing, at least during the early 1 to 2 hours, leans into the theme quite a bit - too much for me to think that I would enjoy the game. If such themes irritate you, don't bother with this game. Positive things: The art is pleasant to look at. One scene early in the beginning was animated which also looked nice. Progression of images, instead of actual animation, looks decent. Some images contain blood and slight hints of gore. The music is nothing special, but sets the mood. Negative things: The screenshots at the store page (8 pictures as of August 2024) show 4 pictures consisting of actual gameplay and RPG elements. I "played" for around 2 hours and found no gameplay at all, aside from a few choices here and there. Dialogues are irritatingly written and the questionable passing of time ("I will rescue my wife!" - Months passed...) makes me wonder if the early story is a placeholder for later revisions or if that is the finished product. I suspect the latter, texts drag on and on with details that add next to nothing to the story. Decisions of the protagonist and other characters seem nonsensical half of the times. Copious amounts of adjectives may want to create the depth of a Lovecraftian novel, but fall flat in its description of the story's events and seem processed with AI tools. At least the vocabulary used reminds me of AI chatbots. At some point there was no music over the course of several minutes, sound effects are sparsely used in general. There were no voice lines or voice sfx during my playtime.
