Good game, but I´ve installed the latest fanpatch after downloading and the game crashes very often :(
I am using Win 7 x64, 4Gb Ram and a GTX 660 Ti....the first time it crashed, a window told me something like "Nvidia-driver 353.82 crashed" - I did not recognized the message much as I thought it was only a coincidental problem - a mistake, as it happens very often!
The problem is that it most times crashes the complete pc - if it happens (usually with a white, blue or green screen + stuttering music) the pc do not react anymore, not possible to open the taskmanager or a reboot - I need to shutdown it completely every time! AN ABSOLUTELY NO-GO.
Gra ogólnie świetna dla fanów gothica pozycja obowiązkowa. Piękny żywy świat, ulepszony względem gothiców rozwój bohatera, satysfakcjonująca walka i progres postaci. Inny klimat ale nie można mieć wszystkiego. Spory minus to liczne bugi, średnio co godzine muszę restartować gre.
finalnego bossa sobie odpuściłem bo mnie wymęczyło to latanie po podziemiach niemniej polecam grę dla samej tylko eksploracji (na najwyższym poziomie trudnośći bo na średnim poziomie gra stała się bardzo łatwa)
Risen is a successor to the Gothic games, and is an RPG well worth your time. However, it doesn't hold your hand and there is a lot of exploration and talking to NPCs to fill out your quest log.
The combat system takes a bit of getting used to, but the environments are huge, expansive and beautiful.
The story is good, but you can venture of the main quest line for hours doing other things, which I personally think is the sign of an excellent RPG!
Im not very far into the game but ive been enjoying it so far. The audio mixing is really bad unfortunately, I find it really hard to hear the character's voices.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
