The Mario of PC

What has taken me so long to get into this series? Rayman 2 is easily one of the most well paced and engaging platformers I've ever played, and calling it the 'Mario of PC' is not hyperbole in the slightest. In fact, Rayman manages to ascend even higher in some regards. Constant variety in gameplay married to a unified aesthetic carries the game from beginning to end. Still as good as I remember

Absolutely fantastic 3d platformer, previously owned it on Dreamcast, DS and 3ds and I'm happy to say the PC version is the best yet. Always preferred this to Rayman 3, I find the fairy tale ambience and the gibberish voices far more atmospheric than the American voice acting in the sequel. Couple of points, make sure you load up the nglide exe in the Rayman folder so you can set it to your resolution and if your gamepad isn't working there's a link to a dll on the forums. Can't recommend it enough!

Excellent 3D Platformer

Was excellent back on the PS1 and this PC version is also great. Slightly buggy, but overall a good experience. Collecting Lums can be a bit annoying. Love the dark tone of this game and the creepy feeling.

Just need to remap the controls

This game is awesome. I enjoyed it as a kid and it's still worth it 15 years later. The only problem with this version is the mapping of the xbox 360 controller. Since there is no control options available in the game menu, I'll probably remap the controls with "joy to key" to have better camera controls.

Still fun today!

This game is really quite a fun thing to play and it still feels tight to play all these years on. The levels are well designed and aside from the bonus levels the difficulty is not too hard. Rayman is well animated and only rarely do I feel let down by the controls. Story is short and to the point, only there to give an excuse to travel the world and see all those different environments. I did take a star off because it does show its age in a technical sense; It wouldn't recognise my Xbone controller so I had to go find a fix on the web (which was very easy and works great now), no rebinding of controls either and the audio/video menu don't do much. It's really a small niggle though as it didn't detract from the fun.
