Nostalgic darling that still holds up

I can't help but be blinded by nostalgia when writing this review, as I myself grew up with this game more than any other. I do not know which my first game ever to play was, but this is certaintly one of the first, and I'm so glad that it was. The Positives - Amazing soundtrack. favourite songs are ''The Woods of Light'' & ''Entering the Pirate Ship'' - The atmosphere is impecable, but that might be nostalgia talking. - For its time, the graphics were very good, and today, still, they get the job done, utilizing every polygon to its fullest The Negatives - Unchallenging gameplay. Most enemies are very easily killed. My child self probably wouldn't want it any other way, though. - Difficulty spike toward the end. the last boss took me so many god damn tries. I died four times as much during the last fight compared to the whole rest of the game. Although I love the direction the francise is taking with Origins and Legends, this game really does hold a dear place in my heart and I can't help but hope that someday we might get another 3D Rayman game.

My favourite game when i was 9 yo

This game was one of my favourites when i was a child. GOG thank you for bringing it back to me on modern computers :) The best part is that this game didn't aged at all. Graphics are just naive-sweet as they were almost 20 years ago, game has interesting, varied platform gameplay on certain levels. From typical platrform action gameplay, to usage of insane vehicles (horse rocket FTW), simple logic puzzles. The only con is length. Game can be finished within 7 hours, replaying it for Lums - might take max up to 8-9 hours. Rayman 2 is best out of its series. Looking back I actually laughed so hard, at cave of bad dreams, witch used to scare me a lot when i was a child :) Still i had loads of laught and fun chasing again robot-pirates and their evil captain Razorblade. That why i strongly recomend to try it - even if you are unfamiliar with Rayman character or games series. Personally I consider this game as a Milestone for PC 3D platformers.

Nostalgic torture

I felt like trying this game again, after loving it when I was a kid but also finding it brutally difficult, now 15 years later with hundreds of hours of platforming experience it's still brutally difficult

A gem of a platformer even yet.

One of the best platformers ever made. This game is still an absolute joy to play even yet and if you like platformers you're going to love this. My only gripe aka very small is that collecting all of the yellow lums can be a little bit annoying in parts but apart from that this game is simply fantastic, highly recommended.

Game of my childhood

Very good game that have simple story focused on classic motive of fighting with evil, helping friends and saving the world. Rayman travels around Glade of Dreams to stop invasion of robopirates led by Razorbeard. Humor, funny designed characters, nice soundtrack, enjoyable gameplay and good story. Worth trying.
