Are you feeling adventurous, Hero? The world of Gloriana, with all its wonderful diversity, awaits you. In this pack of five classic Sierra adventure games you will create your character (a warrior, thief, or magic user) and set out on a grand journey for fortune and fame! You will solve quests and puzzles, fight monsters, and save innocents.
In the Quest for Glory pack, which contains all five parts of the classic action RPG games by Sierra, you create your own character, choose his class and abilities and then set out on your grand voyage. Quest for Glory games are universally acclaimed as one of the best adventure games ever developed. After completing a part, you can import your character into the next one, keeping your skills and some special rewards you've hoarded, like magic items.
The story is another of the Quest for Glory series' strong points. It's very solid and immersive, with a light-hearted and humorous narrative that will keep you glued to the screen throughout each of the five installments.
Includes both: VGA and original version of Quest for Glory 1.
Venture across five huge worlds, each based on a different culture and mythology, from Germanic fairy tales, through Arabian and Slavic folklore, right down to Greek mythology.
Three starting character classes to choose from (fighter, magic user, and thief). This decision not only modifies the gameplay but also the story, providing for excellent replayability.
You can transfer your character from one game to the next. The skills and wealth you worked for so hard are not lost!

I've been waiting so long for this!!! This is perhaps one of the greatest series produced back in the days of the 386. Truly a classic among its other peers made by Sierra!
Dont miss out on this one!!
There are some reviews that talk about the good and the bad of a game (or games). Then there are reviews that just don't do a game justice. The QfG series has only one flaw, it was never finished. Don't let that stop you though, if you've never played this series you must do so.
I remember playing all the old 'Quest' games from Sierra when I was a little kid, and I can distinctly remember at the age of 10, getting Quest for Glory IV. It was the first real RPG I ever played, transitioning from my love of the King's Quest series, and it had me hooked. The humor is beautifully worked into the detailed story lines that match perfectly the extreme utility-based "leveling" system. A more perfect series could not have been asked for. Over time, I have still on occasion found an old DOS copy of the original game, searched it out, downloaded it, and loved it. Now I can finally complete all five games. Thank you so much! (If the Hero Journal included is the guidebook that came with my QfG4 package, then, though I still have it lying around, I would gladly pay only for that single piece which is a true, laugh-a-minute gem!)
This was my first adventure game back in 1987, and is still my favorite game, and series, of all time. There are few modern or classic RPG adventures that can hold a candle to this one. You know you want it, go, go, go!
These games were revolutionary back in the day, and were incredibly famous for blending the Adventure and RPG genres. Not only that, but doing it PERFECTLY. They were also revolutionary because once you beat one game, you could import your character into the next game! Sort of like Mass Effect for anyone who's played those. And as you might expect, they have the terrible puns that are a definite Sierra staple- so if it's a Sierra adventure game without puns, it doesn't exist. The first game basically has you trying to become a Hero by saving Spielburg from a sorceress from fairy tales known only as Baba Yaga. The second game takes place right where the first one left off, with you trying to save the desert metropolis of Shapeir from a large swarm of Djinni and Elementals. The third game has you trying to prevent war between two countries. The fourth game has you trying to save a country from eternal darkness, and I won't give any spoilers, but let's just say an old "friend" returns from a previous title. And finally, the fifth game. This game takes a slightly different approach than the previous four. Instead of 5 being an adventure game with a light touch of RPG, it's an RPG with a light touch of adventure. In it, you try to discover who assassinated the King of Silmaria. To do this, you enter the Rites of Rulership, a contest to decide the next ruler. By doing this, you will hopefully discover the villain, and maybe become ruler as an added bonus. In all the QfG games, you increase your skills by using them- after all, practice makes perfect. At the beginning of each game, you get 50-150 skill points to distribute to your stats. It costs 5-10 points to raise a skill once, and 15 points to learn a new skill. At the end of Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire no matter what class you are, and mid game of Quest for Glory III: Wages of War, you can become a Paladin, but you can only become a Paladin in 3 if you are a Fighter. A must have for any Adventure/ RPG fan.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
