Overload
I've been playing Descent since D1 came out in 1994. This IS the true successor of the Descent franchise. Way better than I expected and so much fun. The single player is well done. Multiplayer is loads of fun and the graphics are superb.

Usually I don't buy games shortly after their release. But this game is an exception! Why? Well, in short: - Fully functional and no half-assed Single Player!!! - No Free-to-Play!!! - No "if you want to succeed, pay now for this awesome, hyper-special item" - No "please pay for additional DLC to get the full gaming experience" - No "we produce a clean, sterile, passionless game with full marketing power 'cause we want your money" - No annoying gamble stuff - No DRM - No unusable release, which is playable after months and tons of bugfixes - Its reasonably priced To the developers: You did an awesome job! Feels like the nineties came back! This is what I call a game! Please stay this way, even its a tough way. To potential buyers: This is very well polished game. Whoever likes 6dof games, will like this game, too!

Hell yeah! The good old Descent is back!
The same gameplay, dynamics, level design. Sound traсks are good. The only new feature is ship/weapons upgrades аnd it's quite Ok.

Really solid shooter game.
Although I never did play the original Descent games, years ago (and I am old enough, I just never got around to it), I am glad I have bought this one, as it's really a lot fun. This is a very good action/shooter game and well worth the price -- although I got it on sale for half off. In any case, it's a lot of fun. The level designs are interesting, the enemy characters (the auto-ops) are challenging but not overly hard to fight, and the action is pretty fast-paced and pretty intense. The weapon system is also well-designed. Overall, I would recommend this game to any gamer who likes these sorts of games. It's also a nice bonus that this is available for Linux, as I much prefer gaming on this platform. Kudos to Revival for bringing it to Linux.
