What i was looking for.

This is as is remember oldschool descent. Cool weapons. Blow stuff up. Music pumping and very Scifi-y (Soundtrack is jawdroppingly awesome). Levels are sometimes convoluted and you need your hologuide or map to navigate, also very classic-descent-like. It just looks better. And weapons are upgradeable. That's that. Story mode is super fun. Challenge Mode is also a lot of fun, whenever you want fast action and lots of boom and bang and pew and woosh and... you get the idea... left and right. Come get your fix! PS: Never tried MP tho, not my fun.

It's the real deal

I've been playing Descent for years... all they way since the 7 level shareware version of Descent 1 for DOS. The devs, Matt, Mike & company have really hit it out of the park with Overload. This is the real deal, it just feels like descent... but the graphics and pace are 100x better. BUY IT! NOW! * Only thing that can make it better... I someone will make a mod to actually rebrand it "Descent 4" and bring back the Pyro :-)

Took Me Back!

I am in love with this game. it took me back to the days of my youth playing Descent with friends and single player as well. Graphics: they are Stellar for a title like this. lighting is goo effects are even greater. -- 5/5 Game Play: Great Fun to be had here. replay ability is Great. -- 5/5 Sound: Great sound effects and Music, the voice acting is O.K. -- 4.8/5 Control: Controls to me, make up 35 percent of the Gameplay ability. fully customizable control s. -- 5/5 Hope they release More for this or release a Sequel.

Play this if you like/love Descent

Seriously, play this if you like/love Descent. It is very much a ummm,, "spiritual"?... yeah, lets call it a "spiritual" {wink and big smile} successor. It really hits all the points that made the Descent series so great. The sprawling outposts that you can easily get lost in, a ton of secrets to find, a ton of robots to destroy in satisfying explosions. The sound effects are fantastic, and the music is just as much as well. It really is a balls to the wall 6DOF FPS that matches Descent in that adrenaline inducing action. Buy it, you really do want this game.
