Masterpiece in a Buggy&Messy remake
That's it. The Monkey Island saga is probably one of the greatest and most important things happened to human art in the '90s, and they gave us this messy remake which adds lots of bugs, a couple of which will completely stall your game and kill it, rendering it impossible to finish. In 2021 they haven't patched the game yet. That's offensive and amateurish.

Stary dobry Monkey Island
Stary dobry Monkey Island. Remake nie tylko jest rewelacyjnie wykonany - bardzo dobrzy lektorzy, doskonale odtworzona muzyka, pięknie malowane grafiki - ale też pozwala nam zagrać w wersję klasyczną. Co jest na dodatek uzyskiwane w bardzo łatwy sposób - wystarczy kliknąć F1, by gra przełączyła się w pikselowaty oryginał. Czasami wręcz ułatwia to znalezienie jakiegoś przeoczonego przedmiotu. I pozwala też stwierdzić jak bardzo grafika, którą zapamiętaliśmy jako cudowną, jest już od tej cudowności daleka. :-) Interfejs wysuwa się prawym przyciskiem myszy co jest znacznym udogodnieniem w stosunku do remake'u jedynki, wobec czego wszystko jest teraz zrobione na tip top. Zagadki bywają trudne, nie ukończyłem gry jako dzieciak nigdy, a i teraz wspierałem się hintami (są wbudowane w grze, więc nie potrzeba szukać oddzielnej solucji, natomiast za korzystanie z nich stracimy dwa osiągnięcia na steam). Humor jest rewelacyjny i chyba nie ma drugiej gry na takim poziomie pod tym względem. Ponadto jednym przyciskiem możemy w bardzo wielu lokacjach wejść w tryb komentarzy autorskich - wspominają oni jakie mieli przeżycia tworząc grę, jakie mają wspomnienia związane z danymi sytuacjami. Gra jest bardziej równa niż jedynka, nie ma takich męczących sekwencji jak ciągłe bieganie do kanibali. Jednocześnie jednak dzieje się w tak wielu miejscach i chwilami niesiemy takie ilości nigdy do niczego niepotrzebnych przedmiotów, że klikania będzie sporo. Ale z pewnością warto.

Big Whoop...
I'm a huge Monkey Island series fan, and I think Monkey Island 2 is good as an adventure game, but it's nowhere near as good as the original Monkey Island game, both in terms of the plot as well as the humor. It was nice to see some familiar faces in the game as Guybrush searches for Big Whoop, which after playing this game I would say is pretty aptly-named. I did not care for the ending of this game at all. Perhaps the ending was written as such so as to allude that another Monkey Island sequel would be coming in the future to continue the story, but I think that could have been achieved without such an inexplicably twisted and weird ending, and rather than leaving me on the edge of my seat, it left me scratching my head, devoid of the satisfaction that would typically come from completing a such game. All that being said, the verb menu was greatly improved since the previous remake, and the way Guybrush was drawn was much closer to what original Monkey Island 2 fans would have expected. The audio commentary and bonuses were a real treat, and in my opinion, they are what makes the special edition a definite must-have for Monkey Island fans.

Funny and interesting but hard puzzles!
I've never played the original one, I've only played the 1st remake and this sequel. It's a very nice point & click adventure, full of humor and funny dialogs. Puzzles are harder to solve than in the first game, they are not really logic, hint system is sometimes good sometimes not really on focus. Recommended to everybody, especially if you have liked the first game :)
