Two stories, two main characters, one epic experience: in Memoria, players travel through different time periods, while following two distinct protagonists: Sadja, a southern princess who wants to be a war hero, and Geron, a bird catcher who wants to lift a curse from his girlfriend. Sadja, a Southern princess, has an unstoppable desire to become the greatest hero in history – by joining and succeeding in the biggest war Aventuria has ever seen: The war of the Mages, fought in the middle of an uninhabitable desert.
Bird catcher Geron lives almost 450 years after the Great War. Geron’s eternal love, Nuri, has been turned into a crow by an evil curse. To give her back her human form, Geron needs the help of the mysterious merchant Fahi, who has magical powers. But Fahi is only willing to help Geron if he agrees to solve a puzzle which Fahi has seen in his dreams. The quest for answers soon leads to a chain of events that connects both Sadja's and Geron's stories, threatening to turn the present into a grim reflection of a long forgotten past.
Memoria combines classic point & click adventure gameplay with the features of The Dark Eye, one of the most successful RPG universes known in the fantasy world. Point & click adventure game puzzles get a unique twist by adding magical features – and a wise, talking staff. Over eight chapters, players control both Sadja’s and Geron’s fates, involuntarily interacting with each other and bridging over 500 years of time. Yes this is a great adventure game with spells, a few ones. Original mechanics sometimes. Great dialogues. Double narrative done right. A bit of the dialogue choices have no impact, some slightly annoying moments but good variety. Not too difficult. I almost didn't check walkthrough and regretted it every time, should have give myself a bit more time. There is a little disappointment in the last part but the end is fine.
Bon jeu d'aventure, des sorts sympas, original par moment. Double narration bien faite, bon dialogues. Passage un peu décevant avant la fin qui est bien.

I don't know the universe of the game : The dark Eye , so it was new to me.
This is a mastered point and click game with a story of quality, a good voice acting and really nice graphics.
There are many puzzle you will have to solve to see the end. I'm not a pro in point and click game so i had some difficuties but it was worth it. The character development is really good and make you care for them. Very touching.
If you're not into point and click game and resolving riddle you might not appreciate this game. But i encourage you to try because the story is worth a try.
Memoria basically picks up where CoS left off and does everything better. Ok, maybe not everything... just like in its predecessor, the puzzles range from easy to challenging to straight up frustrating/annoying (those are rare though - and there is a help feature).
However, all in all the game contains even more magic features, lets you control two different characters and this time actually manages to make you care about them. The voice-acting got a lot better (hint: the staff!). And once again, the 2D-art and soundtrack are absolutely gorgeous.
Next to the audio-visual presentation, the story is what really shines here. It's pretty impressive how they went from a dark fairy tale in CoS to a full-blown fantasy epic with a really nice twist at the end.
If you liked CoS, you will love Memoria.
Fun game, I really enjoyed jumping between the characters--kept me engaged and gave the game some variety. Quest-wise, this was one of the better quest games I've played. While they weren't always easy to figure out, with enough time and patience, almost all quests could be resolved without getting stuck. I also appreciated that there was no way to die or end up in a dead end.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
