Based on The Lord of the Rings motion picture trilogy, LEGO® The Lord of the Rings follows the original story-lines of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, taking players through the epic story events re-imagined with the humor and endless variety of LEGO play.
Trusted with the dangerous task to destroy an ancient magical ring that threatens all that is good, Frodo is forced to leave his peaceful home. But the ring wants to be found and the road to Mount Doom, the only place where it can be destroyed, will be perilous and riddled with Orcs and fouler things. To help Frodo, a Fellowship is formed —Aragorn the Ranger, Gandalf the Wizard, Legolas the Elf, Gimli the Dwarf, Boromir a Man of Gondor, and Frodo’s Hobbit friends Sam, Merry and Pippin. Players relive the legend through the LEGO mini-figures, as they explore wonders, solve timeless riddles, and overcome endless foes in their quest to destroy the Ring.

One of the Best Lego Game Ever
I've played it for the first time on the wii, and it was already awesome; but now that i can understand the efforts the developers putted on the mechanic i am really impressed. Good mechanics, Good story(Is The Lord of The Rings after all), Good visuals and in the and good end play

Ok Lego game mediocre execution
Overall a decent lego game I managed to soft lock myself on atlest 3 diffrent levels and this is beacuse of things like incorrectly triggering points and had to re-start levels Some ofthe key mashing sections didnt work correctly for me so I had to restart those levels The lack of a centrised location makes it hard to buy characters/ upgrades all mithreal upgrades are slow and labourious as they play out the entire animation everytime which requires user input and takes about 30 secs in total (there are like 30-40 upgrades total) And in comaprison to classic lego games like the lego star wars this games feels rather lacking

LEGO Lord of the Rings
If you like Lord of the Rings, and you like lego, then you will really enjoy this game. Like lots of lego games, it stays true to the movies and has some fun with humor as well. Great gaem!
