Based on The Lord of the Rings motion picture trilogy, LEGO® The Lord of the Rings follows the original story-lines of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, taking players through the epic story events re-imagined with the humor and endless variety of LEGO play. 

Trusted with the dangerous task to destroy an ancient magical ring that threatens all that is good, Frodo is forced to leave his peaceful home. But the ring wants to be found and the road to Mount Doom, the only place where it can be destroyed, will be perilous and riddled with Orcs and fouler things. To help Frodo, a Fellowship is formed —Aragorn the Ranger, Gandalf the Wizard, Legolas the Elf, Gimli the Dwarf, Boromir a Man of Gondor, and Frodo’s Hobbit friends Sam, Merry and Pippin. Players relive the legend through the LEGO mini-figures, as they explore wonders, solve timeless riddles, and overcome endless foes in their quest to destroy the Ring.

One of the best games of all time

Until today it is one of my favourite games of all time. As a big Lord of the Ring Games there is a lot of easter eggs and plenty of things that makes you laugh out loud. My favourite part was always in the english version the voice lines are directly from the movie which makes it super funny. I played a couple days now and just finished helms deep. Till this point I encountered no bug or technical issue, no crashes at all. Also as a tip: The PC version does not have the DLCs from the console versions. But google for the Character Mod - Version 3“. It makes the game better than ever. You won’t be disappointed. There is also a mod to change the xBx prompts for PS prompts (e.g. on a Mod Side which‘s name reminds one of the Protoss) I - love - this - game

The BEST LEGO Game

I haven't played this version but i played this on the wii and it is just the best. it follows the events of the movies and it is like Skyrim it has a massive open world with quests of all kinds to do. Overall, Best LEGO Game Ever.

Grałeś w jedne Lego - to jak w wszystkie

Świetna adaptaja z uniwersum Tolkiena. Multi z młodszym rodzeństwem daje masę frajdy. Muzyka na poziomie Jeremiego Soula, grafika żywcem z Lego przygody, no i fabuła nie do podrobienia. Gameplay jest jak w typowych grach Lego i nie ma się do czego przyczepić. Polecam.

Great job by GOG bringing this back

Feeling blessed to have this title officially DRM-free! LEGO Lord of the Rings is one of my all time favourite comfort-titles -- it's a kid-friendly adaptation of the Peter Jackson films, fun for the whole family, and the post-campaign world exploration is a real treat for fans of Middle Earth. You won't regret it, especially at a steep price markdown, based on the age of the game.
