Hotline Miami 2 leaves me conflicted. There's lots to love here, but the structure makes it difficult to explore and exploit. It's still an absolute riot to play, and the urge to press on remains compulsive, despite the narrative hi-jinx. Its failings are never enough to truly spoil things - Hotline Miami 2 is definitely to be recommended. It's the sequel that everyone expected, perhaps. But I'm not sure it's the sequel the original truly deserved.

Not as good as 1st, still a lot of fun
I'm a big fan of first Hotline Miami as I assume most people here and I subscribe to the general attitude that this one took a weird turn on world design - enemies shoot of screen, rooms are too large and the fat guys...I'm getting frustrated simply from thinking about it. Though I admire the story, the music is spot on as always I also like that multiple characters thing. Overall if you get to know some of the levels layout game becomes nearly as much fun as the first one, which for me is enough to give it 4/5. Recommended for the fans (pun intended).

Game won't launch
I just spent my money on this game, and it won't launch. I have a Mac 10.6.8. I downloaded it and dragged it to my Applications folder. I click it, and nothing happens. HM1 still loads, as do all my other applications, but I just wasted my money on HM2. If someone can please give me some advice, it'd be greatly appreciated. >inb4 "Restart your computer" or "Throw your Mac in the trash"

buggy
if you play on a mac, untli now, the game quits when you kill 5 people in a row, which makes it unplayable. hoping for a patch soon, otherwise I will ask for a refund.

Not playable on mac. Stil...
Still not playable on Mac. The game crashes every time at the end of a particular level and the game for no reason goes into extreme slow motion. Keep in mind that these graphics were outdated by the mid-nineties. Very amateurish.
