Missed opportunity...

Difficulty : average Length : short Music : good Design : great Graphics : great Story : good Atmosphere : great Sound design: good Bugs : none I will remember this game and it is good thing. Why will I remember this game? It is unique game with unique design. This game stands on it's own legs. It is art project. This game does not have any UI. This game does not use any text. It only use sounds, music, graphics and animation to draw you into it. The gameplay is composed of several mechanics that are cleverly combined. This game is somewhat simillar to following games: Ori and the Blind Forest Botanicula Hellblade - Senua's Sacrifice This game could be little longer. I finished Ori and the Blind Forest in about 15 hours. Gris took me about 4 hours (not all achievements). If this game was twice as long as it is, I would rate it higher. They could use the game mechanics more. This game was too short for me to create bond with the main character but it was still good. I feel that it missed the great opportunity to become one of the best games of 2018. It was great but I want more.

An artisti psychologic therapy

Just finished last night. Hard to say something, it is not a game about WHAT, is a game about HOW. Platforming is easy, the concept is very straight forward. But the art direction, holy moly, i'm still elaborating. Don't be fooled by the sugary visual style, the plot under the skin is harsh. Be prepared for a deep experience.

A blessing for the soul!

I don't think I cried like this on a game for some long time, but this masterpiece managed to crack me. From the beautiful soundtrack that embraced my ears to the colors that made my eyes glow with happiness this peace of art creates something in your soul that not even words can describe it. Truly an experience you must have! Thanks to all the people that have contribuited to the creation of it! <3

The Abzû of 2018

I don't make this comparison lightly, as Abzû might be for PC what Journey was for PS3. Gris is another great example on how a game can exquisitely combine gorgeous artwork with an infinitely beautiful soundtrack, and provide an engaging and rather creative gameplay experience. Indeed, I'd go so far as saying that is one aspect where Gris actually stands out, with puzzles that are quite simple but require some lateral thinking from the player at times. The level design is fairly intuitive and I was hardly ever stumped as to what to do or where to go to next. Or maybe I was too busy enjoying the watercolours and landscapes to pay much attention to where I was going. While Gris won't take more than 4 to 6 hours of your life, depending on whether you've found all collectibles, it is a visual and auditory spectacle well worth your time.
