If in description of this game is: PEGI Age Rating: 16+ (Bad Language, Gambling, Violence), so why You remove some aspect of these?

I still remember the first time I found the water chip. I had explored so many leads, rummaged around almost every town, wandered aimlessly through the wastes... and time was running out. I had all but given up, and figured my vault was going to die of thirst in a few weeks. Then, it happened. As I was in the middle of helping out some other people I ran into, I FOUND A WORKING WATER CHIP. I legitimately felt like I had saved the fucking day. This game has a unique feeling to it that is hard to pin down, but I think it obviously resonates with people as it spawned so many follow-ups and attempts to recapture the original's spirit. Exploring a derelict vault in Fallout really feels like the world has ended, and you're sifting through the wreckage. The humor is what you might expect in that environment: dark and macabre; trying to sarcastically emotionally cope with the bleak reality by laughing at it. Constantly juxtaposed with the dead world is the happy-go-lucky style and tones of 50s Americana, and you can't help but internalize the sardonic, cynical irony of it all. That's what I think the original gets right that none of it's successors managed. It's hilarious, and immersive, and dark ... but it's also deeply, deeply sad. It has an emotional weight at its core that is at odds with the amount of humor and fun there is in the game, and to me that highlights just how precious those lighter moments are. I also believe this more than any other cRPG I've played lets you truly develop the character you want to be, and not just a version of the character the game wants you to be. It's not something that will be able to be appreciated by everyone. The graphics and some of the systems it uses are definitely not the most accessible, but I think if you are looking for what the game does provide, it is a unique experience that will resonate long after you walk off into the sunset to the tune of the Ink Spots.

My first Fallout game, was Fallout 3. I know some people consider that a sin to gaming itself...but it's the truth. When I got myself on to GOG and saw the old fallout games here, I said to myself 'it's time to give the older games a go'. I have no regrets. I have been in love with fallout since that faithful day I played FO3 on my PS3 back in 2008 I believe? I've played all the others put 100s of hours into them, and now it's Fallout's turn. At first I admit it, I was having a bit of a hard time getting used to the very different method of control and such. At first it seemed my characters were all getting rekt, but finally I did figure it out. Seems it's a bit different even how the skills work here than in Fo3. Even during my time of 'trial and error' I was still into the game. The story telling was great. The vibe felt right...and the music is top notch. I will say one thing I disliked was the time limit you are given in game, it can seem overwhelming at first, but it's not as bad as it seems. Once you get the hang of it you can handle it no problem. Great game. If you like Fallout games trust me, it may control different and be 'old' but it's still a Fallout game! Fallout games are fun regardless of their age.

As much as I acknowledge all the brilliance of Fallout per se, GOG release suffers from the glitch of forcefields at Mariposa. There are two kinds of forcefields: one of them can be turned off by demolishing the emitters, and the other one is supposed to be disrupted temporarily by hacking (no option of demolition here). In my experience, temporary disruption here lasts for 0.01 second - I can barely register the brief blink. Therefore, the game meets dead end here. And this is fairly bought copy, supposed to be polished and stuff. A real shame. Fallout itself deserves all 5 stars as a game.

This game really shines in the setting and story. It's bleak and unforgiving in the best way possible. Fallout is not trying to be your friend and you will die many times before you get the hang of skills and combat. No comedy here, this story takes itself very seriously, which is something modern gaming seems to be unable to do. I give this game 5 stars on story, setting and characters. Now for the flaws. There are many bugs which will mess up missions for you. Many of the skills are somewhat pointless since they're rarely used, and on your first playthrough you can easily find yourself stuck due to your choices on what to upgrade. It doesn't do feedback too well and I was often left wondering why something had happened or what exactly was expected of me in certain missions. Make no mistake, this is a difficult game but I love that about it. It really nails the post-apocalypse wasteland feel by making you feel incredibly fragile until later on in the game. If you even have a passing interest in RPGs, I would recommend you play Fallout as it's a classic and the story and atmosphere are worth putting up with the minor irritations. I found out after playing that this is a censored version which removes children and changes certain language. While it would have been a joyful moment had I been allowed to fire rockets at a bunch of helpless children, I don't feel like the story was negatively affected by their ommission. There are plenty of adults, mutants, animals and robots that you can mercilessly slaughter in cold-blood which the censors are quite happy about.
