Recommended
Even though the way they tied things together felt a bit forced to me, and I didn't like the ending, I did enjoy both this game and the series overall and would recommend you play it if you like point & click adventures. The characters are good, and there's no moon logic. There is some pixel hunting at times, though, so be prepared for that.

Arguably the best in the series
An extremely well made, breathtaking, and deeply sad finale to a great series. It had to eventually end, and it's one of the best endings one could hope for the great Rosa Blackwell and Joey Mallone. The writing, the flow, the locales, the characters, everything has this vibe that just grips you and doesn't let go. However, I for one would not complain, if there was a yet another blackwall game about putting an end to this secret society... A real gem, and a must play for all classic adventure game lovers. Also, the only Blackweel game where I didn't need to use the walkthrough at any point, everything eventually clicked into place in a logical manner, so that's something.

Do play it!
I had such a great time with this series! Play the Blackwell Bundle first, and then play this epic finale! Memorable to say the least: Memorable characters, memorable story, and memorable conclusion. The fact that some characters (like Joe Gould) are taken from real life makes this even more interesting! The voice acting, though not on a "The Batman Adventures" level, is well beyond average, watch the trailer and judge for yourself. The soundtrack is good too! The writing of the plot and the characters was so impactful that I cared even for many of the minor characters. As for the main characters' story arc, it is enough to say that Joey started as a "sardonic ghost from the 1930s" in the first game (Blackwell Legacy), sporting an attitude like "well, you're stuck with me, so get used to it and do as I say" and by the finale I felt privileged to call him a true friend. If you played the first four episodes (Bundle) and liked them, you're in for a ride! If you have not played the bundle yet, I strongly suggest that you do, and in the meanwhile maybe grab this whenever there is a discount, even if you are not yet finished with the bundle at the time. You won't regret it!

A Beautiful Conclusion
This game is great if you haven't played the rest of the series, but I still recommend that you do - and it's available in a bundle here on GOG! All of the Blackwell games represent classic entries in the genre, but this finale is a cut-above and gives this series the substantial end-cap it deserves. Not just the last in a string of 5 games, it's also the best in just about every way. If you like adventure games, avoid spoilers and play this series!

epic final!
Don't bother reading the reviews : -> You dont know about the series, check out the blackwell bundle first -> You did not like the series : this is quite unlikely. But if that's true, you wont like this one either -> You like the series ? you ll love that one, and the final is rather epic. As usual : well done, well written, well acted, good puzzles (not too easy, but nothing nonsense), and it's rather short (under 10 hours)
