Dungeon Keeper™ 2

The two stars are simply for the attention given to a game that is so original and dear to the hearts of the older generation of gamers. For execution, I'd give 1.5 stars. For gamers, keeping drivers up to date is a MUST! And especially in the era where hardware monitoring applications and operating system updates your drivers to the most current AUTOMATICALLY, telling us that the game won't work on drivers that are less than a year old is asinine. If a gamer doesn't update his video drivers in over a year, they might as well hollow out their computer case and use it for an ant farm... In it's current state, the game starts up fine and the menu screen gives the cruel impression that the game is reported well. However, once starting a game, it grinds to a crawl. Even moving the cursor to quit back to the menu becomes a jerky, cat and mouse game to move the mouse, wait, see where it moves to, and try and get it over the buttons. Please bring this game back up to snuff guys?

i loved this game for all my life and played for about 20 times. the levels are made in so different ways, that it never gets boring and all the funny ideas from bullfrog are just hilerous as usual. but this version i cant play at all - in fullscreen the current picture is frozen while the music goes on. i cant switch to windowmode which worked on dk1 - pls help me!

This is such a great game. it is is really too bad that it is nearly impossible to get it to function. you have to jump through so many hoops just to get the game started and then it crashes randomly during game-play. save often.

Zapewne nie jestem jedyny, który kupiłby DK2 w pełnej, nieprzecenionej wersji, gdyby tylko posiadała tą legendarną wręcz polską wersję językową. Przecież to jest jedna z tych gier, które DO DZISIAJ się wymienia się jednym tchem, jeśli chodzi o wzorcową lokalizację. Nie wspominam o genialnym gameplay'u z wiadomych względów. Przeszedłem DK2 już kilka razy w polskiej wersji, pobranje z "innego" źródła, ale z chęcią posiadałbym ją w kolekcji na GOGu. Czy orientuje się ktoś czy istnieje jakaś petycja? ;) (poza obszernym działem na forum oczywiście)

I own Dungeon Keeper 2 (although the CD is dying and I may buy it again off your service), and I can tell you the problem from previous reviews. For some reason so evil even Horny would be impressed, DK 2 has had compatibility issues ever since we left Windows 95. This *seriously* needs fixing, and EA is infamous for doing a quick sequel and abandoning franchises, so I really don't see them doing it, especially for a project this old. If anyone's ever coded a fix for this thing, I implore GOG to find it or the coder to make it available!!
