First when the game came out, I was very disappointed, like many others. It didn't feel like "The Longest Journey" at all, there didn't seem to be a connection. And I didn't want to see a "fighting system" in an adventure. Also, rumor was, that after this game it would continute in a multiplayer environment, which rather scared me off. But in the end it turned out to be a good game with interesting story telling and even today I would have prefered to see the story and characters of the first part again, I was more connected to them.
The Story is great, and yes many holes and questions are left, but hey the next game is out and I have partly played it before playing the 2 first games, but now I start to understand the story, still the biggest Question I have is what did happen to the real reza. Because this is not even answered in the 3rd game
For those out there who like to occasionally play fantasy adventure games, you'll really like this game. For basement nerds who obsess over little things the general population finds laughable and meaningless, you probably won't like this game.
This game has some flaws but it is the most moving game I ever played, and I have played thousands of videogames. There are some wonderfully sad moments. Play it for its ambiance and its magnificent soundtrack... There are a few annoying passages but if you find the courage to go on up to the end of the game, believe me you will be rewarded.
Dreamfall was a great game in storyline, voice overs and graphics but the combat system was flawed and the ending.. lets say it sucked but it makes me want to play Dreamfall Chapters when it comes out!! All in all I loved this game even with all of its flaws. I Would recommend this game!
