Ancient ruins were discovered near Faselei, the Capital of Isigwere. The Queen calls for brave adventurers to assist in slaying an ancient dragon. 

Assemble a party of four heroes, delve into the dungeon, decide when to fight or run away, and grow stronger to survive the run to the dragon's lair in this micro dungeon crawler.

Barely a game

I've only got maybe 20 minutes in the game so far, but the "key features" appear to be the entire game. The video, screenshots, and description do their work honestly. I'm running Dragon Ruins within a Proton derivative, and the alleged gamepad support doesn't survive there. I'll assume it works on Windows. You press forward, monster squares appear, numbers happen, monster squares disappear, party members die. You return to town, party members undie, rinse, repeat. It's got a good feel for its very limited interactivity and very minimal presentation. The music and representation of CRT phosphors are the entire experience. I don't mind having bought and played it.

Exactly what it claims to be.

Short, easy, and basically a relaxing nostalgia run through things that reminice of days long gone. Little to no real gameplay, just watch your health bar and run back to town regularly and you'll never die.

Still a prototype

Atmosphere, artstyle and music are wonderful, a real masterclass at creating a dark fantasy mood, setting and aesthetic. But the mechanics and gameplay have many flaws even if they are better than the previous Demon Lord Reincarnation (that one is being remade, maybe also because of those reasons). I haven't played the second part of Dragon Ruins yet but it seem to have improved some of those flaws. Still many things have to be polished by this developer who has a true diamond under all those imperfections.

2 hours of fun.

The game is very small. Initally quite challenging, but becomes very easy on subsequent runs, basically allowing you to run to the boss and nuke it. It was fun getting there my first time though, which took about two hours. I wish the Classes had more than small stat variations. I was expecting my cleric to cast a heal spell, and my sage to do some magic, but that never happened. I also wish there were items to find in the rooms. As it is the rooms are just there to serve up mosters and that is a shame. Both means making new parties kind of pointless. I really like the presentation though. The graphics have a really cool style, and the music and sound effects gives the game a great atmosphere. I know there is a sequel which might be worth checking out. If they add skills to the classes and items you might be better off skipping this one and going straight for the sequel.

Awesome game

Really love the simplicity of the game. Combat is very very simple as in you go into a room and your heroes fight automatically and they use healing items on their own too. I just really love the aesthetic of this game and just the simplicity of it. If you like jrpgs and get tired of the micromanaging at times with them, this game is the answer.
