Diablo + Hellfire

I've heard from a friend of mine that there is a secret cow level.. :)

This game is much darker and with better art style than Diablo 3. Soundtrack is legendary (Tristram) and very catchy. The fighting system and skills are very simple but that's what I like about the game. I bought this Version because now everything finally works without problems under windows 10.

This is the game that started it all for me. There is some bias here for that fact. I'm a Diablo nut and this game is what started it all. This is a tried and true version of the original. The music and audio is on point. The controls are great (keep in mind this is a very old game, so clunkier than Diablo 2 or 3). For $10, it's a steal. Glad they did this. Would be awesome to see the expansion and preferably Diablo 2!

I played Diablo 2 a lot in high school (back in the early/mid-2000s), and never played Diablo 1 until I bought this copy on GOG. I have to say that I actually think I like Diablo 1 more than Diablo 2, at least when played as the Warrior, because it has a lot more atmosphere than the hectic Diablo 2. Diablo 2 definitely wins in terms of variety of environments, variety of enemies, quality of the art, etc. But in terms of atmosphere, I think Diablo 1 wins. With Diablo 2 you move so quickly that you basically always need to have the map on-screen, to the point where you can end up spending more time focusing on the map than the actual world (at least this was my experience when playing as a summoner necromancer).

The game is clunky... it's slow... going against Butcher with Sorcerer = suicide... the classes are basically unballanced... Just like I remember from my childhood :) 10/10 Remake of the year
