KEY FEATURES
Deep survival management simulation: find and gather resources, secure a supply of food, take care of the mental and physical health of your characters, fight diseases and wounds, ration your water supplies, endure the elements (storm, drought, rain…).
Challenging: the game is turn-based so you have time to take the best decisions, but the challenge is high! You’ll have to adapt to the crisis the game throws at you, with your own reasoning.
3 modes of difficulty: if you just want to enjoy the story, we added an easy mode and, for the crazy lunatics, we added both an extreme difficulty and iron man mode, that even the developers of the game can’t beat!
Build your camp: expand your shelter with 18 activity stations, each one with its own mechanics. Craft more than 130 upgrades and dozens of items to give you precious bonuses. Choose well, you won’t be able to craft everything.
Manage a community: 14 playable characters, each one with their own strengths, flaws and stories. Influence how their relationships evolve with meaningful dialog choices, achieve one of the 7 possible romances or kick annoying characters from your camp and recruit new ones. And some surprises!
Explore the island: 150 areas to discover with hundreds of objects to interact with. Unveil the many secrets of the island and its beautiful, hand-painted landscapes.
Don’t just survive, settle: you can hunt, harvest, fish… but you can also grow a garden and breed sheep! Advanced camp stations with special mechanics.
Live your own adventure: complete 70 non-linear quests to reach the end of the game. Depending on your choices, learn about what happened to your characters after the end.
Animosity and tribute system: be “welcomed” by the infamous tyrant Björn Headcleaver and his merry band of robbers. Bend the knee and pay him weekly tributes, or rebel… and face the consequences.

Fun survival game for me, played this in a bundle and its a very nice game, with choices who do you help and what do you do with them and some battles and exploration. I had alot of laughs when playing this was funny humour and good difficult from time to time.
This is an RPG in the same sense that Nantucket is an RPG. Except, unlike Nantucket, you are not a character in the game. A Shame you couldn't pick a character and that persons death ends the game. In this game, all the characters must live of the game stops. However, you can play it so that you can recover with a game save of play where the game must be started over if a character dies. The game is simple but rich. You survive by collecting other people that you find on the island your are stranded on and building structures that allow you to cook, grow food, hunt, fish, etc. There is no diversity in the fish or meat, there is no fishing in this game except for the catching of X number of fish to make meals. I liked Nantucket and like this game too. It has enough tasks, buildings, etc. to keep you interested BUT the focus is on how long you survive. The games on GOG are getting fairly expensive and this one is only $20. I would place it as a turn based survival game. I have not had a crash 21 days into the game which is a considerable number of hours in and a sure sign of what a time waster it can be. I rate it as 4 stars out of 5.
its a combination of the base-building, survival and resource management mechanics from "this war of mine" ( very similar) and somehow very basic/bland battlemechanics like darkest dungeon (contains also a lot of similarities to dd).
While i am disappointed in some ways when it comes to the lack of gameply-depth, it had also many elements of depth that kept my interest for some hours.
the look of the game is very bright, colorfull (especially compared with twom and dd) and gorgous in many ways.
The setting in which the story plays is very well build and the charakters in the game are extraordinary well developed background and dialog-wise.
The hook for me was the whole famaly relation mechanic and how they develop the comunity in the base by also finding new companions.
This was the biggest plus for me in the game.
To see how the famaly manages to works with each different surviver and how each charakter develop an different releation to each other.
This is also the only randomised mechanic in the game!
Not how they develop their relationships. As far as i played the game, is this always the same text and the same relationship-development with litte diverse outcomes when it comes to some dialog choices.
But in each playthrouth you see and recruit new charakters with complete different personalitys and motifs (Which was the most fun for me)

Everithing else in each playthrough is the same.
The same map, same dialog and so on.
Thats one of the biggest minuses in the game. The lack of diversity and randomisation (which is desperately needed in this game).
So you have an very interesting setting and charakters, but get bored to death after beginning the game the second or third time.
And you will start it again a lot if you play on normal because of the lack of "right decision-making".
For instent, if you find a place for food-gathering and you get the food to early in the game, you might die of starvation and so on.
In conclusion you will die a lot and start again a lot (which is very bland and boring in this game) until you found out where on the map is what and "when and how" you have to get it.
It also needs to long for you to get to the point where you can build more than the two basic base buildings which is also very tedious (After a couple of runs i still havnt found out).
And please devs: Make an option to skip the whole animation sequenz after pushing the next button.
This was extremely anoying.
I might reconsider my rating after playing it a bit more.
But there are a lot of tedious and bland things in it and i left the battle mechanics already out.
There is a linux beta on Steam but the game works fine in wine.
It has a baseline story but it's a survival game with RPG elements. Encouters and resources are generated random (dice-oll) so it has it's share of replayability.
Beautiful graphics, good dialogs.
I would have liked a 'gore' level for when kids are around.
I like this game. It focus on ressource managment and improve your characters...
It is not too easy and not to hard.
The graphics are really great also the effects on some actions. A well polished game.
I like the Soundeffects too.
