Jump in the line, move your body on time

Do you like rythm games ? And Roguelite ? Addictive by its concept, the secrets, the tunes, the mobs & boss paterns. Move & strike on rythm, explore till you find the final boss. Get this indy gem, the Amplified DLC is highy recommended. If you got the N.Switch, the Zelda version of it is quite fun, even if i tought it was way more simple than the original game.

Requires repetitive training

If you're not going to spend days for repetitive training, you will stop playing after level 1-2. Multi-key combinations are quite hard and it's even harder to analyze situation on level, remember what items you have and to what key combination they bound and to move to beats simultaneously.

Come for the Music, Stay for the Music.

Tight music... Oh the music is so tight! Then the game play... It seamlessly blends with that sweet sweet music... This game is appealing on all levels however: gameplay, aesthetics. but most of all MUSIC! <3

Good concept

Combining rhytm game with a dungeon crawler is an interesting idea to me and I think this game pulls it off well. There is a good variety of different things to find or kill in the crypt including items and traps which interact with the rhytm aspect of the game. Despite what some my tell you, this game is not that hard as long as you avoid the characters who die on missed beat. I rarely if ever died because of game's randomness and you can get through with minimal equipment if you are good enough. My only criticism would go towards the music. Though I really like the soundtrack, I found it often difficult to distinguish the rhytm from it thanks to other sound layers on top of the background drums which were used to determine the in-game beats. That makes it very hard for me to not miss beats unless I would make custom soundtrack. Given that the rhytm part is what makes this game stand out, I think it is a major flaw.

one of my favorites

it's one of those roguelikes/-lites that you can always come back to for a few rounds, like spelunky or downwell. i'd recommend playing with a keyboard, it's easier to stay on beat that way and the game wears down your controller buttons pretty quickly.
