Tyrant Ceville might have been overthrown by the citizens of Faeryanis but he’s still a selfish, sadistic, short, sleazy bastard and no one can take that away from him. Where other adventure game heroes go out of their way to become the people’s champion and save the realm, he will do whatever it takes to make people miserable and put his boot back on their collective neck. They messed with the wrong despot and now they’re gonna pay. But before Ceville gets his revenge, he has to deal with the usurper, Basillius (who seems to be doing a better job at being evil than our anti-hero did). Vengence won’t come easy, though, since the only “army” Ceville can muster against him consists of a feeble girl and a pompous paladin.
Ceville is an witty and colorful 3d adventure game that sports a classic, intuitive point-and-click interface that will make the fans of the genre feel right at home. While the interface feels familiar, this title brings new life to adventure gaming with unique puzzles where you must control all three characters simultaneously to advance your half-pint "hero" on his quest to be the baddest despot in the land. Guide your characters through many puzzle-packed locations and prepare for tons of wicked, twisted humor along the way. The game itself is not a bad adventure, characters are decent and the story is kinda quirky,
However the experience stops there as the game is highly unstable, it may actually
very well be the most unstable game I have ever played.
It crashes ALOT, like 1/3 times you enter a new area (and there is always
a loading screen when entering a new area on the map where is where it does freeze).
The game either crashes, or freezes causing you a full restart as you cannot
reach task manager or right-click the game in the taskbar to close it, it just
stays frozen fullscreen.
The game is not playable at all in its current condition.
A comedy adventure game with it's fair share of bugs and complete lack of laughs.
This review will be very short, very little to say about this bad game. As a point and click adventure the game is lacking in any kind of challenge, you might celebrate the lack of obscure puzzles but this game gives no challenge at all. As a comedy it is completely devoid of any humour.
So what redeeming factors does the game have? Truthfully finding anything is a challenge. The graphics aren't bad and have a nice style but nothing amazing. The sound is quite passable as well.
Nothing much else to say about this exceptionally average game. You can get so much better on this site, so don't waste your money on this. Even the free games on this site are better.
One of the best adventure games I have ever played. And yes, I have almost played every of the classic adventure games.
The german version is great. Most outstanding are the riddles. Very intelligent and various. Really perfect!
