Uwielbiam tę grę

Szkoda, że wersja GOG nie jest w polskiej wersji, bo edycja pudełkowa takową posiadała, włącznie z dubbingiem i była to bardzo dobra robota. Dlatego wolę wersję pudełkową. Ekipa GOG mogłaby się pokusić o zdobycie polskiej wersji, warto. Jest naprawdę dobrze wykonana. Gra posiada grafikę, która ładnie się starzeje pomimo 3D. Wciąż z wielką przyjemnością można patrzeć na wschody i zachody słońca spacerując ulicami swojego miasta. Mniej udane rzeczy w tej grze to niewydolny silnik graficzny (duże miasta potrafią przyciąć każdy komputer ze względu na przeciętny silnik, niewykorzystujący możliwości obliczeniowych obecnych komputerów). Kuleje interfejs, który nie jest zbyt wygodny w użyciu. Kiepsko wygląda również animacja i walka żołnierzy, właściwie militarny aspekt gry nie dorównuje ekonomicznemu - można jednak wybrać scenariusze w kampanii, które skupiają się na rozwiązaniu ekonomicznym lub typowo wojskowym. Poza tym gra nie ma większych wad. Wciąga niesamowicie. Poziomy trudności są doskonale dobrane, chociaż dla osoby dobrze znającej grę nawet poziom trudny nie będzie stanowił dużego wyzwania, da natomiast sporo satysfakcji. Znakomity tytuł, warty zapamiętania, bo oferuje mnóstwo satysfakcjonującej rozrywki zarówno w trybie kampanii jak i piaskownicy. Moja absolutnie ulubiona gra z gatunku city builder, a próbowałem ich wiele, zwłaszcza w realiach starożytnego Rzymu. Żadna nie przebiła Cezara IV, do tej pory. Raczej nie ma szans, by to się zmieniło.

Underrated

Great underrated game. If funding and development hadn't been limited on the developers side I think this game engine would have gone far. Here's some tips: 1. You got to build up kind of slow with stability. All 3 citizen classes will be content with little as long as nothing is taken from them. Loss of access to food or goods they previously had will result in them leaving the city, pretty much all mass migration from your city early in the game is a result of this. 2. Try to keep raw materials and industry close together. Warehouses can also help, if making armor set a nearby warehouse to accepting 1/3 iron, 1/3 wool, and 1/3 armour. 3. Trade depots/ports are just big warehouses. If you need those goods in your city also, limit the amount of goods the depot is accepting in the building's menu and this will force workers to take the goods elsewhere. This applies even if you have set limits with the trade advisor. 4. As you build more farms you'll need more granaries. Granaries seem to work better if they only accept one food type. Also don't forget to build another market or two as your city gets bigger.

Good but not perfect

The dumb walker mechanics are gone though managing where your goods will be taken is still fiddly and intuitive. The building placement grid is also annoying as it's so easy to get something one small square off. I would expect better for something that came out today but for an old game it is still pretty fun and retains a lot of the old charm of the Caesars games.

It's a good simcity game

I give it 1 star for price. I give it another for graphics One for how it easy it was to learn and the tutorial missions. The last star is it works on Windows 7 64 bit without crashing and I can't see any bugs/glitches so it works But I like Children of the Nile better because that game has more to do with creativity than learning and also I liked the music better. I bought this game instead of Pharaoh + Cleopatra because both games are made from Titled Mill. I trust that company after playing Children of the Nile. Trust is hard to come by with all kinds of games companies putting out worthless buggy games like Mass Effect Andromeda.

Moderate city-builder

The city-building is a bit better than Caesar III, although some of the buildings, especially the entertainment ones, are too large. The combat is even worse than Caesar III. Pharoah/Cleopatra are the best of this series that I have seen.
