Had to use an emulator to play this.
Unlike those other idiots who review games here based on nostalgia without buying the actual game on GOG.com to see if the actual product works or not, I'll say right now that due to the speed of the latest computers, the emulated version speeds up really fast unless you have a computer with a slower processor speed. I had to use a third-party emulator for the game to actually work without the super-speed. Seriously, the suggestion of a representative of the one who released the game had you redirected to another emulator for you to play the game. So it looks like I just paid for the ROM itself. That said, the game looks and feels like R-Type. You can choose what ship you want based on your play style. The challenge increases after level 2 and the frantic action will make you come back for more. TL:DR version: Download an emulator if the game is too fast for you. Game plays like R-Type.
