DONT BUY - worse port than BS1

The First Bioshock runs well enought and with some keyboard button changes it plays well enough in 4:3 1920x1440p but better in 16:9 duh.... The problem here in this game has broken cutscenes which move you to the right spot while seeing your camera has seizure, WORST AUDIO. I never have seen such a broken audio with complete unfixable radio chatter being louder than the rest of the game but at the same time having it tied to the general talking-volume setting so that it is always quiet. Additionally the developers think YOU can not play games and auto move your camera in areas like elevators so you see the scripted scenes and the game being buggier than the Bioshock 1 game which actually runs well compared to the original versions. THE WORST: The KEYBOARD P is pause and can not be used for medkits but assigned to an other key which will canceled the healing action. WHY you ask because I am used to a mix of Stalker, Cod 1, Medal of Honor Allied Assault and Arma 3 controls. The key L don't work at all to playback tapes. TAB key is the way to open the console WHYYYYY? Normally it is the (^°) key and also Ö on German keyboard in all UnrealEngine games when not hidden. I actually swapped to UK/US keyboard an still opens the console. It shows the devs did not care about the pc version or it would have been removed or hidden like most AAA game. The hacking being awful. On Xbox 360 I pressed the use key or alt-use and then had to press use to get the blue (better hacking goals) or green for normal rewards from hacking but the strange pause / time frame until the menu pops up is a giant mess and makes hacking more frustrating than the first game and worse than the console versions. It is probably press X then A to hit the target zones but has been badly translated to keyboard contols Settings in the game got even more reduced. It is clearly the era of the worst games from 2007 until 2013-4.

Great game but...

I loved to play through this game. It's a bit easier than the first Bioshock was but still doesn't give you the 'just running through' experience. Some scenes are definitely hard af. But... and that's ab it but. The game is crashing like hell. Sometimes four times in an hour, sometimes I lost more hour of gameplays because there is no autosave system. If you doesn't save yourself or you aren't reach just the next chapter, your progress is lost. There is a lots of forums where they talk about this and this not gog specific problem, it's happening with every platform so it's much more a fault of the developers that they still didn't make any proper patch for this. So... if you start the game, be prepared that probably you will tear a few times your hair out. Otherwise, hell yeah, this is a great fun! :D

Good game, but very underdeveloped

Gra jest dobra. Ale doświadczenie jest psute przez bardzo dużo zawiech. Na każde 2-3 godziny grania, przypada kilkanaście zawieszeń, co jest niedorzeczne! W dodatku wymagają zrestartowania całego systemu. Grałem na Windowsie 10. Tylko dla cierpliwych graczy. The game is good. But the experience is spoiled because of many, many crashes. For every 2-3 hours of playing, you will experience more than dozen crashes. And it needs restarting whole system. It is ridiculous! Tested on Win10. Only for patient players.

Cool game!

I have played classic version and it runs perfectly fine with -dx9 option (GTX670, PhenomIIX4, 16GB, Win7). Also I suggest google some config tips and configure graphics options in windows. There is minor annoyances in the game, but there is one BIG problem: You really don't want to die in the game. Every loading takes about 4 minutes. You can fully enjoy loading song and silence after it while you wait. But I think the game worth it.

One of my most loved games ever <3

Bioshock 2 gets criticized very often but I enjoyed it then and I´m still loving it today, as there are almost no games with such an impact, story, emotional thrill and this kind of message. Besides there is a wonderful world to explore, big daddy gets an extraordinary opponent and of course one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL SCENENES OF A VIDEOGAME EVER is from this game. (has something to do with little sisters and big daddy) The story is unique and different from the story of the first game, also the abilities are very interesting and give you some space to experiment. the weapons and melee are way better than in bioshock 1. Imagine playing a big daddy with his drill and all this crazy big daddy weapons. I loved the first one and I still do, but to be honest, my heart beats for the second game as this is the more emotional, balanced and thrilling underwater dystopian fantasy game of the complete series. You should play them all, including infinite (beside this is the weakest one). They are all woth it. have fun and enjoy your trip to rapture!
