Janky and bad PC port
Great game, but I can't rate this 5 stars due to being a bad PC port. No mouse support and lots of bugs and glitches, also the game crashed right before the ending cutscene, so I had to go watch it on youtube. So that's nice. Other than that, I had fun. Underneath the jankiness and bad PC port, the game is really good.

A dissapointment
Sad that this game is not playable with my XBox game controller. At least I didn't pay alot of money.

A Timeless Classic
I first got to play this game only a few years ago and yet it has affected me more than most other games I've played in the past decade, and I've played a lot of games. From the characters to the combat, this game manages to impress and is an absolute joy to play through. Unfortunately it ends on a terrible cliffhanger and much of the story remains underdeveloped due to the absence of any sequels, leaving the players with many unanswered questions at the end, questions that will probably never get answered. The game was very ambitious for its time, and this is reflected in the variety of gameplay activities present throughout the game world, although because of this some are more refined than others. Regardless, it is in my opinion a must-play for every action-adventure fan and perhaps any gamer looking for something a bit different. Strongly recommended.

I loved everyting about this game
I played this game for the first time a couple of weeks after finishing The Wind Waker (2003) and to this day I'm not sure which game I loved the most. It's that freaking good. The music is spot on; the characters are memorable; the atmosphere; the minigames; ...I even enjoyed the weirdly fiting control sheme for kerbord+mouse but my friends told me it also works great with console controls. Just buy this game, and after finishing it you will understand why Ubisoft Montpellier receive this amount of cult following.

Something I missed on GameCube
I was a proud owner of a purple lunchbox back in high school, and yet somehow I always passed over this whenever I saw it at the local pawn shop. After seeing it here, I decided to give it a go. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. Beyond Good and Evil is a nice action-adventure game with elements of Starfox Adventures, Pokemon Snap, and Legend of Zelda. You control an intrepid photojournalist who, after her home planet is attacked by aliens, joins the resistance and ultimately finds herself fighting not only against the aliens but also her erstwhile protectors. The humor is kooky at times, the action quite fast paced (if at times repetetive), and the puzzles generally fun. The only shortcomings I saw were that the game is rather short, something in the ten-hours range, and the planet outside what you can initially access is rather empty. Overall, however, it's definitely worth a buy, especially on sale.
