Unbearable loading times
... make the game simply unplayable. Fix this and all the bugs in the missions; until then, don't buy the game!

Outstanding
Honestly, I love Harebrained Schemes games. I own all their Shadowrun games on steam, which are amazing especially Dragonfall. I got Battletech here cause I really want to support CDPR more and GOG is their thing. This game is awesome, even if you dont know about the tabletop or the books for Battletech/Mechwarrior, you will still love this game if you at least enjoy giant robot fights. And the mods out there are pretty awesome too! Also yes Paradox Interactive is involved with HBS now but it hasn't seemed to be a bad thing. And PI's games are usually really good too like Crusader Kings. I'm really hoping right now that HBS will decide to go for another Shadowrun game, what with Cyberpunk2077 bringing so much attention to the genre(Its a good game, ignore the lames whining about it). But anyways yeah, buy this game if you like mechs and squad tactics and enjoy some neat storyline too. I really like Battletechs campaign so far!!

Battletech!
This game captures the true Spirit of the game, I have been a fan for over 30 years and this is the best PC version I have ever seen. Some players complain the game takes too long to load making you wait, you need a fast HD or even a SSD.

Was an excellent game
Unfortunately after burning over 200 hours into the game, it now refuses to run. Constant crashing, loading, Crash reporting, Reinstalling, forum running for solutions, and other such nonsense has effictively killed my enthusiasm to keep trying to play. If the game's updates kill the game's ability to even be played, why play? I have to kiss my 200 hours of progress goodbye cause the game is currently unplayable as of this moment. I don't recommend this game now. I would recommend 7 months ago when stability wasn't a problem. I'd want a refund, but obviously am not going to get it as the game simply has too much time invested for a refund.

I Was playing this for 350 hours.
However, got a new system, and with it an update in the game I never bothered to load before. Now it cannot be saved. No saves At All. Yes, I am not in 'Iron Man Mode'. I have followed every suggestion and trouble shooting guide on the problem (and it goes back more than 6 years) to no avail. The base game costs $9.99 on Gog. Base game on Steam is $39.99. Wow. Not worth $40 to be sure. Seems Gog is being left out from support by Paradox. So, Don't buy this in my opinion. Wait untill it goes on sale on Steam. Forums seem to say they have a solution. They don't say what is of course, just that they have one.
