Good start, sloppy finish
Around midway the story for this game goes off the deep end; the ending feels very rushed and sloppy. It's a pity, because the game starts out pretty solid.

One of my favourite games of all time
The soundtrack and ambience are the best i have ever experienced in a survival horror alongside silent hill, (but they are very different in style). I feel this is the most underrated survival horror i ever played, and it's hard for me to understand how it can be so, sure it is rough arround some edges and it can be a bit buggy but the core game is, solid, has two campaigns with different puzzles and story, and again i cannot stress enough how good the ambience and soundtrack are, also if you like reading notes to figure out the story slowly this is the game for you, there's a huge amount of reading, this might turn some of you off, but if you are like me and truly want to soake in the lore of what happened here, it is amazing. The New Nightmare actually did give me nightmares when i was a kid hahaha.

One of the best of his generation
Back in the early 2000s, it was so good and refreshing to play this game on the now-old PS1. Now, at least 20 years after my first play, I still find this game good enough to replay. Recommended only for those who enjoy old-school survival horror, you will find not fancy stuff at all, just a well-crafted story.

Great game with modern hardware issues
Its a good suvival horror classic, tank controls, punchy weapons, good sound and interesting puzzles, yet, when running in modern systems the cutscenes wont play properly, just a black screen with audio and it seems to be a known issue for quite some time, controller support is... mid, as only some buttons work properly but thats to be expected from such an old game, besides that, tis quite an enjoyable experience.
