In Airships: Conquer the Skies you'll need to use all of your creativity and skill to design and build fearsome airships and land vehicles to give you the edge in massive aerial battles.



Construct your vehicles by piecing together a vast array of modules, choosing weapons, armour types, structures, equipment and resources in near endless configurations to allow you to prevail against even the toughest foes.

The vehicles are highly detailed, teeming with sailors moving around performing their individual tasks to stay in the fight. Your choices of vehicle layouts are crucial, exploring the design space of different crafts and their matching tactics to make sure your fleet emerges victorious.



Once your vehicles are ready for the fight, you’ll give high-level commands to your small fleet, swooping, soaring, ramming and boarding others to gain the upper hand in battle. Ships and terrain are fully destructible: they can catch fire, explode, break apart, and fall, so you’ll need to choose your tactics wisely.



Face off against giant aerial kraken, fleshcracker mechs, huge venomous spiders, clockwork wasps, and more. Defeat them and reap the rewards.



Play across three distinctly different modes: taking on (or creating your own) bespoke Missions; building a mighty empire in Conquest, or destroying your friends in Multiplayer matches online or via LAN.

Airships:Conquer the Skies

The game Airships Conquer The Skies is a Pixel art strategy builder fighter with fitting background music where the player builds and controls airships and/or landships to combat enemies as one unit or commanding multiple units in a fleet. The vessels that can be created consist out of modules that will effect the stats ranging from speed, attacks and damage control. The player is set up to fulfill some missions, can design maps and missions or can play multilayer against friends. Commanding one vessel is not hard but it changes wen commanding a fleet. There is a clear tutorial that leads the player trough its features and how to do the basics. Once the elements are known to the player the game starts as you must play your way trough building different designs and different possibilities of module placement to balance speed,attack and damage control and also tactics during combat which you have. To figure out by playing. *Mind having enough hatches wen supply is indicated red in stats screen at the left. To me the game reminds me of the great tower defense games that are free but left me dreaming of more. I think this game is much more and by supporting games like this they can grow out and be a lot of fun for many hours of great entertainment. The community (airships.zarkonnen.com) seems a bit small for now but hopefully it grows on release. So if you like to mess around and like to take your time for destruction I would definitely recommend this game.

Fun Customizing Game

This is a really fun game! I was initially hesitant about buying as I am not interested in multiplayer. But their is plenty of single player content in this game. The best part is being able to design your own ships, buildings and tanks. There are plenty of options to choose from. The customizing makes this a very addictive game.

"Sneaky" data collection by default.

It's the half the reason that I buy games on GOG rather than anywhere else, respect for privacy i.e. NO glorified data collecting tools and bullshit alike, but not in this case as "user analytics" setting was enabled by DEFAULT. Like, this isn't a Free to Play game to even remotely justify half a monetization method like that or the developer to have any right to want ANYTHING more from the user once they're paid for their work, period.

great but still more to go

A superb evolution of the 'tankslike' genre, my last fave of this ilk was Redcon but this is cooler with the ability to design your own deathnoughts, great simple graphics are complimented with very cool effects...music is very average. Criticisms are that the enemy AI either always knows the exact position to avoid the majority of your onslaught, or (in the case of dragons) hovers in a strangely perfect position for a living creature doing absolutely nothing until it finally dies. Boring. A dragon would get effing pissed if it was shot, am I wrong? Also the tendency of enemies to invade only to give up instantly is annoying and unrealistic, slows down the game. The 'spy' system doesn't feel right to me, there's little point in using them as you can guess the defences based on the value of a city. Might be better in multiplayer which I haven't tried. My other criticism is that your army and country are just faceless drones, their comments are very repetetive, and it's hard to care about them. The guys are all identical (or at least i think they are....slightly sweaty dude with a mostache, where are the girls?) My solutions would be improve the enemy AI, add an element of crew or captain skill/development and more story behind the crew and country. I would still totally reccommend this game, but I hope it continues to be worked on.

Great Mechanics, Needs more breadth

Airships has a strong emphasis on building and designing and the options are satisfying as there are hundreds of different upgrades/modules/decorations so the customization is deep enough to get a serious player to dig in. In this respect, the game shines. In my time I only played the Conquest mode which is basically the campaign mode which I felt was very underdeveloped. There isnt really any type of story or diplomacy feature between the factions. At this point, it just boils down to a simplified game of Risk - Invade, Capture and Defend your way across the tiles on the map to get resources. That is basically the full extent of the campaign but it is still quite interesting as it challenges you to do whatever you want with your resources. Do you build a giant supership? - your own death cruiser or do you build smaller ships with specific purposes in mind? The game has no limits here which is a strong selling point for me. However, the graphics are pretty rough and give away the illusion that this is anything but an indie game with a small dev team. Overall, I recommend Airships and look forward to what the dev team is planning to offer. The combat and ship designing I would say are complete at this point in time but the game is still lacking in diversity when it comes to a rich campaign mode.
