A.D. 2044 (+Sołtys i Skaut Kwatermaster)

Sure, it's got a great concept regarding its plot, yet fades into obscurity by the game's poor mechanics. Interface is extremely unintuitive, objects are hidden in absurd places (many of which aren't used at all, like the piece of bread). The monologues are boring and extremely uninspiring; the main character seems to be lacking in many things, including Y chromosomes. Music is monotonous, sometimes feels like getting stabbed by screwdrivers through each ear. Fortunately it has volume controls... right? Well, you can't turn its MIDI music completely off without turning the SFX off as well. Graphics were probably good for 1996, but haven't aged too well. If you want decent point & click go for Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Dark Seed, Myst, etc.

~EN~ I bought this package, to play Sołtys, but after installation it turned out that it is not in the folders. There is only A.D. 2044, which is the main and the only game of the "set". If they at least removed this note in parentheses, it would be fairer, but it probably wouldn't sell at all. ~PL~ Kupiłem ten pakiet, aby pograć w Sołtysa, ale po instalacji okazało się, że nie ma go w folderach. Jest tylko i wyłącznie A.D. 2044, czyli główna i jak się okazje jedyna gra "zestawu". Gdyby przynajmniej usunęli ten dopisek w nawiasie to byłoby uczciwiej, ale pewnie nie sprzedawałaby się w ogóle.

Hi, this game would be great but sometimes, even if you have the proper idea you cannot solve it since the items often are so tinnies that nobody can see them in the game without a walkthrough. And even with a walkthrough I cannot use the flashlight so unable to finish it...

Nigdy nie lubiłem i nigdy nie polubię A.D. 2044, które jest dla mnie grą po prostu nudną. Jednak LK Avalon kocham, głównie dzięki innej dodanej tu grze czyli Skaut Kwatermaster, która mimo tragicznej grafiki zachowała swojski klimat. Zaś muzyke z tej gry uwielbiam. Pozdrowienia dla ludzi z LK Avalon.
