Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition Digital Deluxe Edition

The game is pretty descent but it crashes on me quite a bit. hard to stay into a game when you find yourself restarting over and over, been like this since the day of release in my experience (release of the EE not the original). I really enjoyed the infnite dungeon add on but the rest were kind of blah (boring) IMO. The developers are a real POS's, don't go to the website and complain or ask for help or anything else, they will ban you, they hate their customers.. besides, it is more cost effective for a corporations tech support if they can block you from accessing it to begin with.. let me point out, as a paying customer it should never be that way, is a pretty unacceptable thing really. considering this version will work the same as the old one, and the old modules are easy to hack and install for free (the premium ones), your probably better off with the original non EE version, i think it crashed less anyways.

I'm a long-time NWN player and server Admin. I own the original NWN from 2002 in CD, own the Deluxe Edition (NWN+Sou+HotU, CD, Italian), own NWN Platinum Edition bundled with NWN2 pre-order Chaotic Good (DVD; I pre-ordered NWN2 only to have the Platinum of NWN, paid 60 or 65€), own GoG NWN EE, own Steam NWN EE. In total, FIVE copies of this game. Five, if I haven't forgot some. Still, after 20 years, Aurora editor is Windows only, but Beamdog keeps popping out new "enhanced" copies of the game, adding just cosmetic features. The Toolset's still Windows only. Would definitely pat 50€ for a Linux-compatible Aurora tool to be able to get back building worlds for players to play on. 50€ for the Aurora tool only. Maybe even 100 if it works flawlessly, even better than the original one. Yes, I would. Anything else? Not giving a single penny for it.

It works like a charm and I still have as much fun with it as with the original back then. Yes, the main campaign lacks refinement, but I think it was hated a bit too much, I was still very intrigued by several concepts and I'll always remember Aribeth, her character alone makes it worth it for me ot get back to the game. However, since both addons are included and particularly HotU is an absolute masterpiece, I can only recommend this game to CRPG fans!

I'm surprised by the amount of negative reviews. It's a beautiful game, well-structured and modernised.
