Scavenge and Craft
Loot and craft as you explore. Lob a tasty sausage roll as a diversion, or poison a kebab for bait. Sneak up and knock a monster out with a whack from a cricket bat, or slice them up with a chainsaw. Tranquillize them with a dart fired from a homemade blowpipe, or set them alight with a DIY flamethrower. There's over a hundred useable items to loot or craft!



No Second Chances
Use stealth to sneak, weapons to attack, or if all else fails, run! But be very careful - one bite and you'll be ripped apart to become a tasty snack for monsters! Violence is your last resort. Sneaking, skullduggery, and ambush are your tactics.

Basingstoke is a town in England, renowned for its charming mix of hand crafted and procedurally generated features. Explore, above and below ground, and enjoy its many attractions. Unlockable Characters
As you progress you'll unlock new characters. Start as a Tourist and capture those special moments with your selfie stick or splurge at the shops with your OmniBank GoldCard. Stealth and diversion

There are currently no reviews, so I write one. I dislike all things zombie, but I love this game. I bought it for the stealth and diversion aspect and did not get disappointed. The atmosphere is great, the soundtrack fits. It is dark, deadly creatures lurking everywhere and you have no idea what is going on and how to survive this. Fitting this, you discover crafting recipes as you find the ingredients. I really like that. You start as a secretary and can unlock other characters (for a new game) as you go and they have their pros and cons. I unlocked the police officer and the way that happend made perfect sense, but I would like maybe a little hint as to how to unlock everyone of them. Because I only achieved that, because I love exploring every inch and am bad at survival games, so I died one or two dozen times in the same sector, which gave me plenty of opportunity to achive that unlock. (SPOILER: Bashed a lot of creatures with a truncheon.) Yes, I died a lot. The point is, I died because I made a mistake and I knew it right at that moment. Usually it involved clinging to that food (even though I had plenty and there is no hunger need) instead of throwing it as a diversion to get to safety. I hoard too much, worrying I might need that stuff more desperately in later levels. Every time you die, everything is different: Building interiors, where you find loot and what loot you find, placement of creatures and machines and such. Items come in three categories. -1 your backpack -2 campsite stash -3 your "pockets" (ammunition: bullets, shells, nails, darts) 2 and 3 seem to be unlimited, but 1 is restricted. You start with 4 slots and I strongly recommend looting thoroughly to find the suitcase (seemingly) in every level, because you can only use and craft/reload with the things in your backpack and "pockets". All new loot (no limit for carrying that) goes into your backback and is saved in your campsite stash once you reach the new campsite. I love this game.

It's great, obviously

But then, that's coz we wrote it. I'd like to take the opportunity to explain some of the design decisions in the game. Wanted to make a game that was unlike other games. There's no point in just making "game X, +1". We wanted to ensure that this was a unique experience you can't get just by playing some other stealth game, or even some other run-and-gun. So we deconstructed all the other games we'd played to try and figure out what we could do differently, and this is what we ended up with: There's only 1 hit point. This is a source of angst amongst some reviews, but there is a reason for this. As soon as you've got more than one hit point, then it means you're basically just making a game where you bludgeon your way through the level like every other game. It means we would have had to have had "healing" like in every other game. It means we'd have to figure out what the hell to do with the monsters after they'd bitten you. You can only see on the screen what your character can see. This is why when your torch is off, the camera zooms in. This is why there's an occlusion of the view around pillars and walls. If you're illuminated, your range increases. If you've got a torch, your range increases. If you're outside, your range increases. If you're moving, your range increases. And to be absolutely fair and consistent, if you can't see a monster, *it can't see you*. Because monitors have a funny aspect ratio we picked the smaller (vertical) distance as being the radius at which you're visible. When you die, you go back to the beginning. The levels are randomly generated. There's no point in starting from where you died, or you might as well simply have not died. So don't die. Embrace the replay! The core loop is to find as much loot as possible and get to the exit, and build up the campsite stash for the characters that come after you. Replay is core to success and enjoyment. Lastly, it's a stealth game. Fighting is your absolute last resort. You WILL lose.

Love everything puppygames make

Another great game from these guys - I own all the games they have published to date on steam and wish they would add them all to GOG so that I can actually own them. They have a style all of their own and are just fun to play!

Agrivation and Repetition

Saw this game on youtube and it looked like fun, boy was I wrong. It's a constant loot, die, lose everything, and repeat type of game. The stealth is slow and aggravating. The camera zooms in when the flashlight is off preventing you from seeing and hazards ahead of you, but leaving it on alerts the zombies. Wheelie bins (hiding spots) are useless, and narrow corridors prevent you from sneaking past most zombies. Back to the flashlight you need it on to find loot but see previous note on zombie alertness. Loot is randomized each run, melee weapons are sparse and extremely fragile while ranged weapons are rarer and require ammo that's ever harder to find. Distraction items barely last 2 seconds before the zombies go back to hunting you, but the tentacle are the worst. They can only be destroyed by explosives but you won't find any, and crafting them is a pain because the need a butt load of crafting items. Just avoid the game, pretty much any other survival horror game is better than this.
