The full version of Aground is available on GOG.com. You can purchase it here
Aground started as a free web game, but after getting excellent ratings and over 3 million plays across many portals, we decided to expand it! The web version is still available as a free demo covering the first few islands that will give you a great sense of the game. Give it a try! Your saves will transfer seamlessly to the full version should you decide to get it!
Survival is only the beginning. The only way for humanity to have a future is to return to the stars and confront them. But, it will require a lot of ingenuity and help to recover everything that was lost, and even that might not be enough...
Aground is a Mining/Crafting RPG, where there is an overarching goal, story and reason to craft and build. As you progress, you will meet new NPCs, unlock new technology, and maybe magic too. Will you be able to raise dragons? Launch into space? The sky is literally not the limit. Beneath its simple exterior, Aground hides a lot of depth and surprises that will keep you wondering “what’s next?”
What can you do in Aground?
While it starts simple, Aground slowly evolves into a much larger game with tons of features and things to do. Here is an incomplete list:
Mine Ores, Gems, and other Resources

Cook Foods
Befriend NPCs (or not)
Advance your Technology
Discover Magic

Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
I'd love to give this Demo a chance, But it won't start for me, REQUIRES GALAXY.DLL
I used the offline installer as I do for all my games. I don't like GOG's Galaxy app. Too bad it's a requirement. I guess the non-Demo requires it as well so I won't be getting it.
I have not played these kind of games. Steamworld dig is the most similar game i have played. But this is a nice game. Fun and got me hooked for some good hours. Think i'll buy it!
This is a sizeable Demo of the game that allows for quite an expansive exploration of the game world, even at this stage and end in a satisfying conclusion for a demo.
Overall the game is simple, easy to understand and quite fun
The Aground demo is the best demo that I have ever played and it has more content and more play time than some full games.
Really great demo and a great game if you give it a chance - continue/stick with the game demo until at least when you have visited both eastern and western islands to have tried a fair representation of what the game has to offer...
Demo is said to be able to give 10 hours of play time but I personally managed to squeeze 28 hours of play time out of my own playing the demo on Steam (was before the game was accepted on GOG).
From what little I'm able to play before the game glitches (less than 10 minutes) the game seems like it'd be fun. With the severity of the glitching I'm left frustrated and literally unable to even get a good idea of the game play. I presume the actual game version isn't soo glitched but I can't say as I've only tried this demo version.
