Wing Commander™ 3 Heart of the Tiger™

Wing Commander 3 was a love at first sight. played one and two a bit was more into Privateer. this game got me hooked. I was torn between going everywhere and talking to everyone and wanting to jump back in the pilot seat and cement my place at the top of the killboard. the story is expertly told by FMVs and in-game communication when you're in flying around. space combat serves it's purpose and I enjoyed it, coupled with a great story and I could not stop playing and you bet, I went back and replayed 1 & 2 to get every bit of the story I could and got 4 & 5 and every extra bit I could get my hands on. that is how much I love Wing Commander. I truly think this is a game a wide variety of people can enjoy. and if you're a spacesim fan it's a no brainer. it's one of those games you need to play.

What a cast! Stars from Star Wars to the queen of porn and a tiger with the universes biggest feet and every one in between. Cinematics to die for (over and over again - I really got tired of waiting for the damn elevator) and a story that brings the series to a new level. State of the art at the time (?) . Missions still hold up..(you can fly right through the mother ship!) Highly recommended to those following the development of games. (The original could be played on a 486!)

I lost my virginity to the Wing Commander Saga to Privateer, but this was the Kama Sutra training. I have the original game in the original box and it is one of my personal treasures. BUY THIS GAME!

It is like WC 2 just with better graphics and new missions. I like that. The cats are getting smarter and tougher. Just fly out there and get them. Nice missions and game plot.

This game had some teething problems with a new engine (actual texture-mapped polygons instead of the rotated bitmaps of WC1 + 2 + Privateer), and actual filmed full-motion video instead of hand-drawn animations to tell the story. This led to some awkward storytelling and missions - especially the ones on planet surfaces. Still, you get more story options than in the previous games, and the missions offer more variety of challenges than ever before. It also concludes the Kilrathi war. So there's much to love and enjoy here!
