So fucking good
This is the first game I've played since doom eternal that really understood what made that game so incredible. This game graphically looks like a simple sprite based shooter like doom 1993 which I think has made a lot of people pass on the game, but it's so much more than that gameplay wise. This is definetly an example where amazing gameplay is much much more important than good graphics, the gameplay here is wonderful. It's so fast and frantic, with any small slip up causing the player's death. The game has quick saving and quick loading but to use it you have to pick up a limited use item which is amazing, there are plenty of the items around and the game autosaves at the start of every level, so it's never a big issue, it just does a great job at stopping me from quicksaving after I kill a single enemy, I actually have to think about when and how often I save and the bigger fights are all the more exciting when I know dying will mean starting them all over. The guns are great, the combat is great, this game is truly something special and everyone who enjoyed doom eternal really should check this game out.
