Wasted potential.
You character runs around in circles for 4 hours, none of your decisions matter and the game ends on a cliffhanger that makes no sense. There I just saved you $20.

Occasionally good, but underdeveloped.
If you like VtM and visual novels, it's decent - but you get what you pay for. The writing seemed pretty good to me, although it's -very- 2019, which I could see putting some people off. Some of the character storylines were a lot of fun - if underdeveloped. Which seems like sort of a theme in this, with nothing being fully explored. I had particular issues with the ending. "Abrupt" doesn't even come close to describing it - I'm still feeling the whiplash. One moment I was enjoying the story, getting into the game - the next thing I know I'm getting pop-ups for achievements related to "The Finale". I genuinely thought it was a bug with how sudden it was - like the game had just taken me to the wrong sequence. But, no. It just feels like there's no 3rd act.

This is not an RPG, it's actually a visual novel, and like most of them there's very little room to change in certain key aspects of the story. If you are OK with this, take a bite into a visual novel about VTMB, just know that this is just a clickable novel, and not an RPG. Had this been emphasized in the marketing and in the store genre, then it wouldn't receive all this terrible rating. Now onto the more technical aspects, every decision is saved and there's no way to go back besides restarting the game, and the game does not have voice overs, just music and ambient noises. The backgrounds, most of them are beautifully animated, but that's it, and the characters are not animated either. That being said, as a visual novel, the story is great, and so is the art.

Wait till the price drops
Okay this game had so much chance to have merit. However there are a few things that bugged me off the bat. One you only get a chance to pick 3 clans, Ventrue, Brujah, or Toreador, two, it plays QUICK... I would have liked to be able to actually do more with other people's storylines befroe getting pushed into the Grand Finale. However I feel like your decisions don't matter, and the way the ending came about it feels even more confusing. The followup games they plan on putting through will have to be stellar but my suggestions would be... 1. Give us more time to fully complete and basically bathe in the tasks of our coetire. This means more days to play before the "finale" 2. Give us an actual "go hunt" option instead of trying to make us choose between backing someone up or hunting now. 3. Give us more of an oppertunity to learn about the people in the city, the ending does not make sense at all because of it. as a VtM tabletop and larp fan, I'm...disapppointed. It had so much promise but it feels like the whole thing came up as a rush job.

So yeah this is bad.
I pretty much spent 20 bucks on a horrible book. First of all there is no "Play your way" it's literally play their way. Here is a example, lead vampire dude asked me if I had anyone I wanted to call. I trusted him and said "Yeah my ex girlfriend" and put her in danger. So I said fuck that and replayed that scene so I could lie. And would you fucking know it the main character is an idiot. So it's back to the choices the writers wanted "Girlfriend" or "Ex Girlfriend" I stopped playing after that.
