Game doesn't even work
After verifying integrity of files, checking for updates, updating all my drivers and windows 11 itself, the game still does NOT work. The game will get as far as selecting New Game > Difficulty > Gender Selection. Upon selecting either gender the game immediately freezes permanently and you can only close it through Task Manager > End Process. I looked online for fixes couldn't find any, spent 2 hours searching for any fix at all to be honest, wasted time man. REFUNDED MY PC SPECS: - Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Z790 UD AC - CPU: Intel i7 12700KF - GPU: NVIDIA MSI 4070Ti Gaming X Trio - RAM: 64gb 6000mhz DDR5

Unable to progress
Partial review at the point of starting the game as: Option to rebind keys, always appreciated, unless of course the game then makes itself unplayable because the first thing it wants you to do is Feed, but modifying the keybind for that is a progression stopper.... Would have preferred to place this bug under a discussion area about the game as a warning of sorts, but cannot seem to find that option here on GoG... May amend later once this is patched....

Good game Wrong title
I want to start by saying that I really enjoyed the game — the criticism it gets feels a bit exaggerated. Yes, the game is quite linear, but the story (at least where I am so far) is genuinely engaging. It mixes elements of horror and mystery in a way that’s very well done — much better than in many of the recent games I’ve played. Mechanically, it’s a completely different experience from the original. Anyone expecting classic RPG-style mechanics might be a bit disappointed, as most of the RPG elements now come through dialogue options and skill choices rather than deep systems. That said, I absolutely love the above-ground travel mechanic. We’ve seen similar things in other games, but here it really makes you feel like a vampire — skulking across rooftops and gliding through the night unseen. Massive props for that. Overall, it’s a solid game. If the developers had been upfront, they probably wouldn’t have called it Vampire: The Masquerade 2, but we live in times where clickbait sells. Would I have played it if it had a different name? Maybe not — but I’m glad I did.
