Good Point & Click Adventure

Unavowed is a point-and-click adventure game in the urban fantasy setting. There is some flexibility regarding the puzzles - the several companions to take on missions provide different options for the solutions. The puzzles themselves are mostly logical, though occasionally it is required for the player’s character to obtain information from NPCs before continuing, even if the player has understood the solution. Additionally, there are some options for the character customisation (name, gender, background) and the quest order and outcomes. The game can be played with mouse only, with the right mouse button to highlight interactive items and the left to interact with them. Also there are subtitles, full optional voiceover, optional hints, and manual saving in several (20+) slots. The controls are not rebindable, the settings kept resetting between game sessions.

Awesome game

I recommend this game to everyone that's on a lookout for a very good, exciting story with twists and unexpected turns, while on the other hand doesn't want to spend too much time getting stuck with puzzles. This is exactly, what suits this game, too difficult and illogical puzzles that are often encountered in point'n'click games would ruin the setting of this game.

Good game with interesting plot twists

I'm not a big fan of the art style, but it's passable. A little more variety in the puzzles/mechanics wouldn't have hurt, since walking back and forth talking to everyone about everything gets a bit repetitive after a while. Where the game truly shines are the characters and the story with its plot twists and moral dilemmas. The game also has a certain amount of replayability (unusual for this genre) due to the fact that you tackle every mission with just 2 companions, all of which have unique abilities, leading to different angles for dealing with an issue. Also, props to the developers for not creating dead ends here (something that annoys me to no end in the classic Sierra adventures). Definitely give this one a try.

Googled "games like Unavowed "

As mentioned in the title, the first thing I did after finishing this game was to google "games like Unavowed". To put things in perspective I'm not the core audience for adventure games. I played the occasional Longest Journey and Syberia, and little else. I loved the story on Unavowed, the characthers, the straight-forward puzzles and the overall aesthetic. I hate that there isn't a sequel yet.
