Ultima™ Underworld 1+2

Ultima: Sloggy McSlogimus. Maybe this game was a big deal, back in the day, but now it's a face-buried-in-a-walkthrough slog, with unremapable (you can via DOSBox remap) keys, painful controls, what must be the worst jumping mechanics in gaming history, no volume controls, dubious packaging, had to play windowed because of alt+tab freezing, etc. This game is painfully long, and, thusly, increases the hurt; this just doesn't hold up to the test of time. You'll have to slog your way up/down many floors - lather, rinse repeat - holy monotonous, Batman. I finished the first'n, but didn't bother with second, though it's hard to argue with free. Buy and play Eye of the Beholder 1 and 2 instead - those are masterpieces.

i feel like im the only one going through this problem cause i didnt find a solution in the internet. for me the mouse wont work, it barely moves its super slow at times and super fast at times, its downright unplayable. i hope someone could help me out cause i really want to play the game

Don't waste your money on this game. Play ultima 7 instead. this is an early 3d first person 3d game that was designed to be used without a mouse. The controls and interface will make you scratch your head and wonder what the hell were they smoking?

I bought these LONG ago, and love them. Recently saw the "update" and thought, nice. Maybe they fixed the bugs. NOPE. Hey GOG, there is a difference between "Compatible" and "REQUIRED'. Forcing a dos game to require windows 10 to run is straight BS. Especially for those of us who REFUSE to downgrade our OS past windows 7. You should rename it to "GAME CORRUPTION PROGRAM". Now that I know you are doing this, I will no longer buy ANY game labeled this way. I have 2 computers, one with XP and is my main gaming PC, and my laptop with 7. BTW everyone, I have tweaked my XP computer so at Idle it uses only 90 mb memory, so the pre downgraded version of these games runs absolutely flawlessly.

Why_third?_I_personally_prefer_Daggerfall_and_system_shock_to_this, which_in_no_way_makes_any_of_them_really_better. Please_Sign_up_bethesda_softworks_so_you_can_benefit from_daggerfall's_free_release_and_arena's_free_release, and_convince_EA_to_let_you_release_system_shock_with_it's_various_mods_availuable_through_a_config_exe and_doxbox_1.74_or_higher.
