Confusing mess of a game.
This is a highly confusing convoluted mess of a game with no quest markers, an insane amount of uninteresting dialogue to skip through, no voice acting, constant frame rate drops when auto-saving, boring inventory where items all look the same, highly involved and confusing skill/attribute system, and RTS style click-and-watch battles. Every level looks the same in this game that are dark underground mazes where you often have no idea where to go. I always seemed to be inadvertently working on side quests instead of the main quest because of how confusing everything is. There is also a ridiculous number of battles in this game, like what seems like every ten steps. And after you gain entrance into the library in level 2, watch out because these battles become total chaos with an insane amount of monsters and all sorts of magic spell blasts reigning down while you watch the frame rate take a massive dive into the 40s. I ended up losing too many of these battles because you can play this game for several hours and gain absolutely NO skill/attribute points to improve your characters. There is just no way I could ever force myself to complete this extremely long and tediously boring game. I recommend to stay far away from this one, unless you enjoy wasting time.

I really liked the game. What hooked on is the plot, he is here at the height. the combat system, as in all current RPGs, so without a total of 10 out of 10

Too repetitive
Played in 2023. Had only one crash to desktop. No performance issues. This game gets repetitive fast. Combat is the majority of the game. It is not hard, it just takes a long time. Feels like a chore. The game´s slow motion gimmick does not improve the situation either. Could not bring myself to finish the game, which I usually try to do. The few fights at the start represent what is going to wait for you for at least 10-20 more hours. It is not going to get any better. The party devotion system is contrived at best. RPG elements are non-existant. The difficulty of the game depends on the gear drops. Without save scumming, you will have to rely on crafting to progress. With a little bit of save scumming (i.e. you get a fire sword to fight enemies on a water level), you can ROFLstomp a level without noticing it. Overall, I do not recommend this game. And it has nothing to do with the price. There are so many good games out there that you shouldn't waste your time with this one.

Intriguing story with average combat.
Game starts pretty slowly and uninteresting until later stage. The story becomes pretty intriguing and interesting. Dialogues between characters sometimes feel forced. But overall writing and story is interesting. Combat feels average at best. It requires no tactics. I feel the combat boredom outweighs the intrigue nature of the story.
