A good remaster
I've tested the three parts on Linux, with the Wine emulator, and they work perfectly. Good purchase!

remastered with love
I think every old-school TR fan would love the details of the remastered version. Hopefully, the younger generation can appreciate these classics as well! Thank you for this, Aspyr!<3

PS2 Tomb Raider
This review is based exclusively on Last Revelation. If you've played the first remaster (for which I left a glowing review), you know more or less what to expect, but understand that this one takes it even further in terms of graphic upgrades. In many places, the walls, floors, and ceilings have extra 3D geometry added—for example, cave walls are now irregularly shaped instead of perfectly flat, and rough rock edges are no longer perfect straight lines. Of course, this is merely cosmetic and doesn't affect gameplay. This is in comparison to the first remaster, where they only ("only") upgraded the texture resolution and added extra fluff (e.g., foliage) to the levels. In TLR, caves look like caves, buildings look like buildings, wall reliefs are actually 3D instead of all being the same flat grid geometry with different textures. This is on top of more added effects than before, with the train level and Giza particularly standing out. The first time I experienced those levels, I just stopped and stared at the graphics for a while. If we had gotten the (proper) PS2 Tomb Raider I always wanted as a kid, I think it would have looked like this. The one caveat is that this new level of detail isn't everywhere; some areas are like the previous remasters, with only texture upgrades on walls, floors, and ceilings. Aside from that, all the good stuff from the previous remasters is there. Wait for a non-sale and buy at full price.

Great job on the remasters.
Another faithful remaster of the remaining classic games just like the first three. Classic Lara in all her adventerous fun at it again.

Labor of Love with potential to improve
Similar to the TR I-III remastered collection, this one oozes with love from the devs. You can clearly tell that they did their best to enhance the dusted engine with everything it could give. The games are nowhere near perfection, but if you keep in mind that they chose to do a Remaster instead of a Remake or Re-Implementation, the outcome is surprisingly good. Especially the step-child of the series (Chronicles) looks AMAZING in most parts. Rome has never looked this beautiful. Unfortunately at release time it shows that not the whole vision of the Devs has been implemented (yet). TR4's remastering quality takes a significant dip in some areas and TR6 (AoD) - well, is still AoD. The remastered controls make it A LOT better and the restored animations and weapons breathe new life into the games, but at its core the engine still has the same faults as the original. I'm giving this 4 stars for now, since for the fifth star, I expect the devs to deliver what was not possible at release time. A consistent experience throughout all 3 games and a few more fixes to AoD (I'm looking at you, now missing reflections).
