Sadly no DLC
DLC Is missing. Other than that, the game is really good. Played it on the PS2

A Great Game From a Bygone Era
This is one of the great tactical shooters from the golden age of FPS gaming. The game has decent graphics and some pretty good maps. I love that it feels like a serious game, about a serious subject, but without the try-hard nonsense surrounding newer Ghost Recon games and other later day FPS's. It can be punishingly hard and if you are careless, you will probably die very fast. But that's ok. The game also has an amazing soundtrack, that really conveys the atmosphere and the seriousness of your work. It's really quite sad that they don't make them like this anymore. It should get 5/5, but the missing Island Thunder and Desert Siege expansions are a bummer. I would give 5 stars if they were made available to buy.

Far more sim-like than later GR games
This is a difficult game that requires both time and patience, but that is highly rewarding to those who are willing to stick with it. It's a far cry from later, more arcade-like, Ghost Recon games with their on-sight target-marking, WinBack-esque cover systems, and scripted drama. This game is about studying your terrain and taking strategic advantage of it while you keep a watchful eye out for enemies and slowly advance toward your objective. You can switch to the perspective on any member of your squad, and will not experience mission failure until your entire team has been killed. It's unfortunate that GOG doesn't offer the expansions to this game, but there is plenty of content in the base game to justify purchasing. P.S.: I had trouble running it initially on Win7x64. If you experience crashing on startup, like I did, try this: go to Display>Screen Resolution>Advanced Settings>List All Modes, then change to a 16-bit mode; then start the game (it should now boot) and change graphics settings to 32-bit 1080p; now exit the game, go back to the desktop and switch back to the 32-bit resolution you had before. The game should now boot like normal.

mission recording
i just want to add one thing that has not been covered by the positive reviews for this game. ghost recon was one of the first squad based tactical shooters that records everything that happens during a mission. it is not a video recording. the recording is using the game engine for playback. you can control the camera angle, view from the point of view of other squads and change playback speed. i use it to study what went wrong on a failed mission. at the end of every round you have the option to save it and even share it with your friends if they have a copy of the game.
