The Guild Gold Edition

I already had this game, and yet, as a little test of GOG's claim to have fixed the games they release, I bought it. And what do you know, it works flawlessly. The game was plagued by unavoidable crashes before this release. And with Gog's version? One crash, just loaded up the autosave, worked perfectly. Well done.

I liked as a kid. But on my devices it runs a bit unstable (tested it on 3 PC) with crashes every few hours (once making the last save unusable, and minor to mayor lagg depending on the pc, wich I don't think should happen. But despise this, it is still fun to play. I prefer it over the second installment or "Die Fugger 2".

A wonderfully filled out game ruined by unintuitive controls, a camera that rotates when it feels like it, and limited documentation. You will spend hours wondering how you can accomplish simple tasks. But the frustration is outweighed by the goodness. Once you get the hang of things it can get real fun.

I have always loved this game. I like the micromanaging fun associated with it. I recommend it. It is kinda sad when a character that you build up dies, but such is life.

Didn't expect to have as much fun as I am with this game. You control a certain guild in historical Europe and fulfill a variety of assignments. Lots of replayability!
