SILENT HILL 2

Well, it's a typical port of a typical console game from the early 2000s. It's a lazy port from consoles, which can be seen, for example, in the fact that there is no option to delete saves on PC, on the other hand the developers have made an effort in the topic of mouse support, keys and typical DX12 options. So you can live with it. As for the game itself, well... As I mentioned it is a typical “cult” game from consoles, so it meets all its conditions: full of cheap jumpscares, the main character moves like a brick, the logic of the events is laughable, and the main enemy is as stupid as could be. But this is the typical level of console productions from years ago, so nothing new - such were the customers then, so such were the productions then. And no, let me assure you that this is not a psychological game, it doesn't even lie next to games of this type. On the plus side, the sound design is excellent and the graphics are quite good (UE5). Localization is so-so, however, some textures have not been localized, which affects the readability of puzzles (but these are only isolated cases). Is it worth it? Considering how dire the game market is these days, it's worth it, but don't expect fireworks. It's just a solid piece of production with some problems, but nothing more than that.

Absolutly amazing remake. Does it repalce the original ? definitly no but still an amazing game

The game is good, actually great. But its really not optimized very well. Comming from someone that played around half of the original and only years after it was released, i can say that the remake is very good, its made of people who loved the original, but wanted to make their own mark on the game. It wont replacec it, in its not made for that. Some things have changed, but the main parts are the same. I really like it, but its the only game i have not been able to run good on my steam deck. And it runs ery bad on my main rig, but boy does it look good. Get it full prie if you have a newer pc, but wait if you dont. The game is good on its own. Ohh, and i have played most of blobbers games, this is the only one that actually have good gameplay. Combat feels good and hectic.

I've been in the game for 3 hours and I have to say it has a thicker atmosphere than any other game and the sound is fantastic, as are the graphics of course ;D
