Decent game, perfect Robocop Simulator
This game is a must play for every Robocop fan and is a continuation of Robocop 2. It captures the atmosphere, the different locations and the feeling of what it must be like to actually be Robocop perfectly. The story is really interesting, and a way better succesor to Robocop 2 than Robocop 3. You can recognize a lot of the different characters from the movies and the world feels period correct. Gameplay wise the game is generally fun, but the side missions can sometimes be a bit boring. For an example: In some missions you have to walk across a big part of the map, then talk to a guy and maybe scan something, and then go all the way back just to ask out another person. However, when you look at the game as a "Robocop sim", it makes sense that Robocop would also have to do boring things in his job as a Police officer. On the technical side: The graphics of this game are phenomenal, some scenes could almost be mistaken by shots from the movies. One thing that could be improved are facial animations. Sometimes they look a bit stiff, but i don't think that they are as bad as some people say. Also: The checkpoints are sometimes questionably placed, especially before the final Boss Fight. An option to manually save the game would be appreciated. There are a few Bugs in the Game, for an example I couldn't progress in one Level despite killing all enemies, and the game mechanics can sometimes be abused, where you can camp at a certain spot where the enemie can't reach you. This however, doesn't make the game even close to unplayble. Overall, if you are a Robocop fan, buy this game. If you have never seen a Robocop movie, you should watch the films first, because you could be disappointed if you look at it as "just another game".

Classic type of game for a classic movie
The game reminds me of the old times where my friends and I watched movies on VHS. In my eyes the game captures the atmosphere of the first movie very well.

Lives up to its ambition
RoboCop: Rogue City is an uncomplicated game that sets a set of definite goals for itself and lives up to them fantastically. The meat of the game is shooting punks with a variety of weapons (your trusty Auto-9 plus various guns found throughout the levels), moving slowly, deliberately and tankily as befits the titular RocoCop. Sprinkle in some investigation sequences (which are pretty linear and none too taxing on the player's detective skills) with some pretty engaging characters and story-telling, and the no-nonsense RoboCop fantasy is complete. There's some secret-hunting and a skill/upgrade system for those who like that sort of thing. It feels a bit perfunctory to me, included mostly because that's what's expected of a Videogame(TM), but it's servicable and not too obtrusive.

Come with me if yo- oh wait! Wrong game!
RoboCop: Rogue City from 2023 is probably the best thing that has happened to the Robocop-franchise since Robocop 2. What we got here is a FPS with light RPG elements. Which is fairly solidly made. The gameplay is a little barebones admittedly. You scan things and act like a detective at times but most of it you go into a room and absolute devastate everything. And honestly in a Robocop game, what more could you ask for? 🙂 What the game really nails is the atmosphere and the whole Robocop-like feeling the game has. The Polish developers Teyon really likes the Robocop-universe. The game is made by people who actually cares about Robocop. This was not a cash-grab, this game was made by love. It's impressive what they manage to achieve since Teyon isn't a large studio at all. Sure the game has it's cut-corners. It's most definitely isn't a AAA-game, more like a double AA-game. So some things are on the cheap side. Like reusing locations and having a small voice-acting cast. Speaking of voice-acting I'm glad that Peter Weller is back to the the voice of his most famous character. The music also very much excellent. You have those slightly reedition of those classic Robocop themes and you also get what you would expect to find in the slums of Delta City. The soundtrack is made by two guys unfamiliar to me, Draco Nared and Chris Detyna. Hopefully a two new cool careers ahead of them 🙂 This is a winner people. A solid AA-game made with love. Watch the two first movies and then get this game on sale or full price as I bought them, I didn't regret it.
