RoboCop: Rogue City

If you liked the Robocop movies, it's worth a buy... even if it's just on sale. If you don't know Robotcop, then take a pass; it's more of a nostagia trip then anything else. The entire game is well designed for the most part, with only a couple exceptions. The first time I got pissed off was having to fight one of those stompy combat robots solo, while inside a very small arena. Arenas generally suck and small ones are vastly worse. Second thing is the game doesn't tell you what all quests are avilable until your debriefing, showing what you got for xp and for quests compelted. You CAN get a power that shows you important points around the map like treasure, etc... but it requires quite a few levels, that you could be putting into more combat oriented skills. Asside from theese, I mostly have praise for this game. It was fun to go through once. I don't think I"ll play it again, but there is an option to play new game plus, where you keep all your gear, etc.... if I ever change my mind.

This looks like a great game, but it seems to be broken on certain configurations since the latest patch. I couldn't finish the first level due to constant crashing.

So these eastern Europeans really love these 80s classics. A Terminator game that ignores all the non-Cameron directed sequels? Brilliant. A Robocop game that is between 2 and 3? Brilliant. An expansion to that game instead of a DLC? Brilliant. I'm really considering leaving the US.

Great feeling of stomping the ground in that full metal armour! The game is not perfect - sometimes I miss the anthem during heavy shooting scenes, but still it's cool. Last RoboCop game I played was on my old Amiga computer many many years ago thus this one fills the gap perfectly

The slow movement combat works surprisingly well, it's quite fun. There's a lot of "investigation" scanning the environment, grabbing stolen purses, a lot of busywork but it all hangs together surprisingly well. Fun time. Not perfect. Clearly made on a budget. But also clearly made with love and passion for the source material. Plus you can shoot people in the dick. Well worth buying.
